(A/N. Caution! Mentions of suicide! Just a quick heads up.)
Third Person POV
A grunt was heard as two metal objects collided together. "Come on, Y/N. Show me what you got." Lady Sif said with a smirk. Y/N pushed her away with a grunt.
He swung, only for Lady Sif to parry him and trip him. Y/N fell to the ground, but caught himself with a roll. Lady Sif jabbed at him, only for him to dodge and swing his blade at her. She ducked as the blade went over her head.
The Warriors Three and his Father were cheering him on. Y/N and Lady Sif spaced away from each other as they stared at each other. Y/N charged and swung at Lady Sif's torso. She blocked it and bounced the blade away from her.
Lady Sif used Y/N's positioning as a time to attack. She jabbed toward his throat. Y/N flinched his head back as the tip of the blade stopped just before his neck. Lady Sif smirked. "Got you."
Y/N gained one back. "You might wanna look down?" Lady Sif tilted her head before looking down. Y/N's sword was at her stomach. She chuckled. "Nice job." The Warriors Three groaned at the draw while Thor laughed loudly.
The two Asgardians backed away from each other. They walked over to the others. Y/N sat down as he used a towel to dab away the sweat. "That was incredible, you two! I'd wager to say you two are equals in combat!" Volstagg exclaimed.
Y/N shrugged. "Eh. I just got lucky." Thor walked over to his son and slapped a hand on his shoulder. "My boy. I'd say you got more then lucky. That proved more then enough that you aren't just lucky."
"Yes. That was quite the duel." They heard at the entrance. They turned and saw Odin with a couple guards by his side. The Warriors Three and Lady Sif kneeled down in respect for their king.
Odin walked to them as the warriors stood back up. "What brings you here, Father?" "I wish to speak with you and Y/N. It is something rather urgent." Odin told them. The two Asgardians were a bit confused, but went along with it.
"Alright, Father." Thor nodded to his father. Y/N turned to Lady Sif with a smirk. "We're going to finish this later." Lady Sif smirked back. "Oh, yes we are." Y/N, Thor and Odin exited the room with the guards in tow.
Y/N's POV
Father and I were following Grandfather. He led us through the halls until he led us to a door where Grandmother stood by it. "Frigga and I have been wanting to tell you this for a while." Grandmother walked up behind me and Father, placing a hand on our shoulders.
Grandfather opened the door as we walked into the room. I looked around and saw drawings of different people and buildings. "Long ago before Thor was born, a Frost Giant named Thirsor escaped to Asgard to flee from Laufey. He had been seeking freedom from the frozen wasteland of Jotunheim."
"Many people were wary of the being. Some thought he was a spy or an assassin of some sort. But I allowed him to stay in Asgard as long as he does not harm our people." I looked up at a drawing of a Frost Giant kneeling in front of Grandfather.
"As the years passed, he proved himself to be a citizen of Asgard. He fought in many battles and won. But he eventually found a woman. A woman that could see past him being a simple Frost Giant. She saw him for what he truly was." Another drawing showed Thirsor holding a woman's hand.
"They married and had a child. A girl. The girl grew up to be a wonderful woman and an even stronger warrior. But it all came to an end. The Frost Giants had begun their invasion of Midgard. Thirsor had gotten enraged at his own race for invading a peaceful realm." I looked at a third drawing that showed Thirsor standing with an Asgardian army and Grandfather.
"The war had begun against the Frost Giants. Countless lives were lost on both sides. Being a Frost Giant, Thirsor had enough power to take on the army of invaders. But he was defeated by Laufey. The very man he had escaped from." The fourth drawing had Laufey stabbed Thirsor with a spear.
"Upon the Frost Giants defeat, Thirsor was given an Asgardian burial once returned. His wife had fallen into a deep sadness. She could not function without her husband by her side. Therefore, she took her own life." A fifth drawing showed Thirsor's wife in a pool of blood with a dagger next to her.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Grandfather. What are you attempting to say?" We stopped in the middle of the room. "That your mother Y/N was Thirsor's daughter. You are quarter Frost Giant." Grandfather announced.
My eyes widened as my heart began to pick up in pace. Father looked at Grandfather, shocked at what he said. "Wait? Sigvor was half Frost Giant? My wife?" Grandfather nodded as his head fell to the ground. Grandmother came up to Father who had tears welling in his eyes. "Why? Why didn't I nor Y/N know about this until now?"
"We wanted to protect you from the truth. Me and your father knew how much you loved each other. She wanted it to be a secret. From the both of you. To keep you safe." Grandmother told us as she placed a hand on both of our shoulders.
Thor groaned and walked out of the room in a huff. His thundering footsteps growing less and less quiet. Meanwhile, my head was down in shock of the news. I suspected something like this when my powers first happened on Jotunheim. But I guess I didn't want to accept it.
"Y/N." I heard my Grandmother's voice. I looked up to her and she gave a sorrowful look. "Are you alright?" I lunged forward and wrapped my arms around her. I buried my face into her shoulder as she hugged me back and caressed my hair.
I loosened my arms around her and stepped back. I looked at the both of them. "I think I need a moment. To just think about this." Grandfather nodded. "Of course. Take all the time you require."
I nodded and began walking away.
Third Person POV
Y/N sat upon one of the benches at the Feast Hall. His mother's necklace in his hands as he stared at it.
A light knock at the door. "Mind if I join you?" He glanced over and saw Lady Sif with a gentle smile. Y/N nodded without saying another word. Lady Sif walked over and sat next to him. His gaze, however, never left his mothers necklace.
Lady Sif looked at the necklace. "I remember your mother wearing this. She always wore it during battle. She called it her good luck charm." She lightly chuckled, trying to cheer the young man up.
"I assume my father told you." Y/N told her, not removing his eyes off the glowing crystal. Lady Sif was quiet for a second before speaking. "Yes, he did. He told us when he came back to the training room. He was quite red in the face when he told us." They both chuckled.
It became silent again. "How are you holding up?" Y/N sighed. "As well one can be when finding out their mother is half Frost Giant." Lady Sif frowned a little and put a hand on his shoulder. "I just wanna let you know. Even if you do have Frost Giant in your blood. You are still our friend."
Y/N finally looked up from the necklace and looked at Lady Sif with a smile. "Thank you, Sif." Lady Sif smiled and patted his shoulder. "Anytime, Y/N." The two turned their heads to the horizon and the stars.
Y/N put the necklace back on as he gave a smirk to Lady Sif. "So, about that rematch?" Lady smirked back at him. "Oh, you're on?" The two stood up and exited the room.
