Third Person POV
The lab was filled with smoke as chaos quickly ensued. Steve looked at Tony. "Put on the suit." "Yeah." Tony quickly stood up and ran down the corridor. SHIELD Strike teams gathered in the armory to suit up for the coming battle.
Fury shook his head and talked in his earpiece. "Hill!" "External detonation. Number three engine is down. Can we get it running? Talk to me." Hill quickly replied as she walked over to an agent monitoring the damage. "Turbine looks mostly intact, but it's impossible to get out there to make repairs while we're in the air." The agent told her.
Hill breathed heavily. "If we lose one more engine, we won't be. Somebody's got to get outside and patch that engine." "Stark you copy that?" Fury asked. "I'm on it." Tony answered.
"Coulson, initiate defensive lockdown in the detention section, then get to the armory. Romanoff?" Fury stated, swiftly walking from the lab. In the air ducts below the ship, Natasha had her leg trapped under a pipe. She tried to get free, but failed. She looked over and saw Banner groaning as he laid on the ground. "We're okay."
Suddenly, Banner began to breathe heavily with strained breaths. "We're okay, right?"
Y/N's POV
I groaned as I brought my head up. I looked around, not seeing Father nor anyone else. I stood up and walked to the open door. I saw red lights blaring and panicked agents filled the hallways. I called Coldbringer, which swiftly entered by hand.
I jogged down the hallway until I found men in mortal combat gear with guns pointed at me. They fired, but I deflected most of the bullets while moving closer. Once I was close enough, I grabbed one of them by the collar and threw them into a wall.
The other fired upon me, but my armor deflected most of the bullets. I spun and slashed their weapons away from them before kicking one away. Another attempted to punch me, but I grabbed his arm and flipped him over my shoulder.
For the last one, I simply grabbed his head and kneed him, knocking him unconscious. I then heard a monstrous roar, which sounded like it was below. Banner must've changed into his other self.
I saw an agent running by and grabbed her arm stopping her. "What's going on? Why are there men attacking us?" "An assault on the Helicarrier. Director Fury ordered a lockdown protocol. He told Stark and Rogers to get to Engine 3." She told him.
I looked around before turning to her. "I need a communication device." She nodded. "Follow me."
Third Person POV
Fury ran into the control room in a frenzy. "Bring the carrier about to a 1-8-0, heading south! Take us to the water!" He told the navigation coordinator. "We're flying blind. Navigation's recalibrating after the engine failure." The agent replied back.
"Is the sun coming up?" The director asked, walking forward. The agent paused for a moment. "Yes, sir." "Then put it on the left. Get us over water. One more turbine goes down, and we drop." Fury responded with distinction.
A voice suddenly came over his earpiece. "Director Fury?" The voice belonged to Y/N, who Fury quickly recognized. "Y/N? How'd you get an earpiece?" Y/N ignored the question. "Where is Engine 3? An agent told me that's the one causing failure."
Fury was silent until he answered. "Find Rogers. He'll lead you to it. You catch that, Cap?" "Affirmative. Meet me at the south side door." Steve replied.
Eventually, Y/N caught up with Cap and they both made it to the entrance leading outside as they passed a couple agents assisting another. "Stark! Stark, we're here!" Steve said into his earpiece. "Good." Tony flew in. "Let's see what we got."
