Chapter 10: Special Celebration

Third Person POV

"Make sure the tapestries are the right color. Oh! And the roast boar is halfway done. Put it in the center of the table when it is finished." Frigga told the servants as she walked around the Feast Hall.

The Warriors Three and Lady Sif walked into the Feast Hall. The male warriors were a bit confused at everything, but Lady Sif knew exactly what was going on. Volstagg's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "My Queen. May I ask what is going on?"

Frigga looked at the Warriors Three. "You three don't know?" Hogun tilted his head. "Know what, Your Majesty?" Frigga looked to Lady Sif for an explanation. Lady Sif sighed with her arms crossed. "It's Y/N's birthday today."

The warriors had a look of realization as they heard what the lady warrior said. Fandral looked at Frigga. "So, is there anything we can help out with?" Frigga smiled as she thought of an idea for the warriors to do. "Yes. You could occupy Y/N for a bit. Just until everything's ready."

Lady Sif nodded as she smiled. "We can do that, milady." The Warriors Three along with Lady Sif exited the Hall.

Y/N's POV

I was practicing with my sword in the training room. I swung my sword upward as I huffed a breath. "You're getting better with that sword, Y/N." I heard behind me. I looked backward and see Lady Sif and the Warriors Three enter the room.

I put my sword on my back as I walked toward them. "Yeah I am. Maybe even better then you, Lady Sif." I smirked as she chuckled. "You wish." "So, what are you guys doing here?" I asked them.

"Well, since it's your birthday. We figured we could take you for a stroll in the kingdom." Fandral told me. I did notice that Volstagg was a bit more fidgety then usual. But I didn't suspect anything. "Okay. Let me get changed and I'll meet you guys at the gates."

The warriors nodded and we all walked out of the training room.

Third Person POV

Once Y/N was done changing and washing up, he met up with the Warriors Three and they all proceeded to walk around the kingdom and the market. 

Y/N looked around at the different shops and clerks. He always loved coming here and seeing his people. He found peace whenever he was stressed or angry.

He looked around until he saw a little girl with black hair looking at a toy appeared to be a wolf. He saw her look down at her hand and saw her frown. As if she didn't have enough coin to purchase it. He decided to approach her. 

He kneeled down to her level. "Hello. Are you alright, little one?" The little girl turned around to show her vibrant green eyes. Her eyes had tears pooling in them. She simply shook her head. "What's wrong?" 

She pointed to the stuffed wolf doll. "I want t-the wolf, but I don't have enough to purchase it." Y/N smiled sadly. "Well, where's your mother or father?" She froze upon hearing those words and slowly bowed her head. Y/N's smile slowly fell as he came to the realization that she was an orphan.

It was quiet for a while until Y/N spoke again. "Why don't I buy it for you?" The little girl's eyes lit up as she looked up with a bright smile. "You would really do that for me?" Y/N chuckled. "Of course." 

Y/N stood up and walked to the owner of the shop. "How much do you want for the wolf?" The owner answered as she smiled to the young prince. "10, Your Majesty." He handed the coins to the woman as she handed him the wolf doll.

He kneeled down and handed it to the little girl. She happily grabbed the doll and hugged it tight. "Thank you so much!" Y/N chuckled. "No problem, little one. What is your name, girl?" She looked up at him. "Luta."
