Y/N's POV

We made it back to Asgard and brought Jane to the healing room in hope of finding out what was wrong with her and what caused the blast back in Midgard.

Jane was currently laid in a bed as scans were made of her body. I leaned in close to one of the women who worked in the healing room. "This is not of Earth. What is it?" "We do not know. But she will not survive the amount of energy surging within her." She replied walking away to perform other duties.

Jane looked fascinated at the technology. "This is a quantum field generator, isn't it?" The headmistress responded. "It's a soul forge." Jane looked to her. "Does the soul forge transfer molecular energy from one place to another?" The woman looked down at Jane impressed of her knowledge. "Yes." Jane turned to us and whispered. "Quantum field generator." Father and I both smiled.

"My words are mere noises to you that you ignore them completely?" Grandfather stated suddenly appearing in the doorway. "She is ill." "She is mortal. Illness is their defining trait." Grandfather walked around the room. "We brought her here because we can help her." I said, which fell upon deaf ears.

Grandfather looked to the ground. "She does not belong here in Asgard any more than a goat belongs at a banquet table." Having enough, Jane sat up and stared at Grandfather in disbelief. "Did he just. Who do you think you are?" Grandfather responded quickly. " I am Odin, King of Asgard. Protector of the Nine Realms."

Jane looked taken back. "Oh, well I'm-" "I know very who you are, Jane Foster." He gave a quick glance at Father, causing Jane to look to him. "You told your dad about me?" Father turned to Grandfather. "Something is within her, Father. Something I have not seen before." "Her world has its healers. They're called doctors. Let them deal with it. Guards, take her back to Midgard." Grandfather ordered as two guards came to escort Jane.

I looked over and saw them going to touch her. "No! Wait-" The same energy from before burst out of her, knocking the guards away into walls. I went over to her. "Jane. Are you all right?" Jane nodded slightly. It was clear that the energy exhausts her.

Grandfather walked over and swept his hand across the underside of her arm. A bright red energy surged in her veins. "It's impossible." Grandfather looked stunned, the time I've ever seen him like this. "The infection. It's defending her." The headmistress stated.

I looked up at her. "No. It's defending itself." "Come with me." Grandfather said as he began to walk out of the room.

He brought us to a room with a tree in the middle of it. It appeared to be a library. "There are relics that pre-date the universe itself. What lies within her appears to be one of them. The Nine Realms are not eternal. They had a dawn as they will have a dusk." Grandfather informed us.

He showed us a book that appeared to be glowing. "But before that dawn the dark forces, the Dark Elves, reigned absolute and unchallenged." He flipped the page, showing humanoid creatures with masks with pointy ears. "Born of the eternal night, the Dark Elves come to steal away the light. I know these stories. Mother told them to us as children." Father read form the page.

Grandfather continued. "Their leader Malekith made a weapon out of that darkness and it was called the Aether. While the other relics often appear as stones the Aether is fluid and everchanging. It changes matter into dark matter. It seeks out host bodies, drawing strength from their life force. Malekith sought to use the Aether's power to return the universe to one of darkness. But, after eternities of bloodshed my father Bor finally triumphed ushering in a peace that lasted thousands of years."

Jane looked to him. "What happened?" Grandfather turned to her. "He killed them all." I looked at him. "Are you certain? That Aether was said to have been destroyed with them, and yet here it is." Grandfather turned to me. "The Dark Elves are dead." "Does your book happen to mention how to get it out of me?" Jane questioned.
