(A/N. Hello. Yes, I am aware it has been a while since I last updated. I just haven't found the time to write with my job and college work piling on top of everything. But, hopefully, updates will be more frequent. Also, I apologize for crappy quality of the gif. Oh, one more thing, I will have another poll at the end of this chapter to vote for my next story. I've got a couple more ideas for stories. I just need you guys to help narrow them down. Now, onto the story.)

Third Person POV

The streets of Asgard were quiet. Everyone had gathered to witness the funeral of Queen Frigg. Countless citizens bowed their heads in silence for the death of their queen. The royal family especially.

The queen's pyre boat sailed along the river that divided the city. Light orbs were lit in remembrance of the fallen Asgardian woman. At then end of the river stood Odin, his son, and his grandson with close friends of the royal family beside them.

Thor stood next to Jane as they looked at the Allfather. All Y/N could do was stare into the dark void as his eyes followed his grandmother's boat.

An arrow was lit on fire as a soldier took aim to fire at the boat. The guard let loose as the arrow soared through the sky, landing on the queen's boat, setting it aflame along with her body. That arrow was followed by more arrows for the fallen soldiers and civilians that had been killed in combat.

Y/N felt nothing but anger and sadness as the boat sailed into the distance. He just stared until he felt a hand in his own. He looked down and saw that Jane had grasped his hand, offering a friendly smile. Y/N returned the gesture with a small smile.

Frigg's boat continued sailing until it reached the waterfall. Odin slammed the hilt of Gungnir to the ground, causing the queen's boat to float instead of fall into the unknown void as her ashes dissipated up to join the stars.

Those holding the light orbs let them into the sky much like Japanese sky lanterns. Y/N's grip tightened as a single tear fell from his eye. Jane noticed this and gripped his hand tighter in response.

In the prisons, a guard walked up to Loki's cell with his helmet removed while the God of Mischief read a book. Loki looked up at the guard as he informed the former prince of his mother's fate.

Loki simply nodded his head for the guard to leave, so he did. Loki stood from his chair as he walked to the center of his cell. He clenched his fists as he sent a wave of magic over everything, smashing the furniture.

Dark Elf Ark

On the Dark Elf ship, Kurse was looking up at his king as he healed from the lightning blast that hit his face, courtesy of Thor. "Heal. You will need your strength to reclaim the Aether. And when you wake, we will kill them all."

Asgard

In the royal bedroom, Jane sat on a couch as she examined her arm to see the red of the Aether in her veins. Suddenly, the world went red as she looked outside to see the Aether in the sky. Then the whole kingdom became dark as the rainbow bridge become solid as if it was black.

Her eyes became blood red as she gazed at the sky. "Jane Foster?" She turned around to see Tyr with two soldiers behind him. "You need to come with us." Jane looked uneasy, but complied.

In the throne room, Odin stood among soldiers as Fandral explained the situation. "We are still unable to restore the palace shields. Our artillery couldn't detect them. Even Heimdall cannot see them." He went silent as he looked around the room before staring at Odin. "My king, we are all but defenseless." The Allfather stood in silence as he gazed to the ground.
