This is not a good parenting skill at all. I was so anxious about how the laptop broke that I could no longer control my emotions. I should have looked at her in the first place. If I just took care of her and watched her, she would've not spilled the juice.
I was incapable of stopping her, so I just settled on watching where she was heading instead.
I saw her enter a room whose door was opened by a staff member, so I followed in her footsteps.
As soon as I walked into the room, my mouth dropped open as I caught sight of Razen already carrying our daughter, who was sobbing uncontrollably.
"Why is my little girl crying? Hmm?" Razen was caressing her back in a soothing way.
There were members of the police force and the fire department, and some of them were the heads of some departments. I had the feeling that they were discussing something important, so I rushed up to where Razen was standing and tried to carry Ashra.
I also heard them muttering about how surprised they were.
"Anak halika na. Daddy needs to work." malambing kong sabi sa kaniya.
Umiling-iling lang ito, patuloy pa rin ang pag-iyak.
"She can stay here with me. Malapit na rin kaming matapos." ani Razen. "Upo ka muna doon. Wait for us."
Razen continued the meeting with Ashra on his lap now.
"Omg! You're really here!"
I blinked my eyes as I try to figure out who she is. "C-Charmaine?"
"Yes! I'm Razen's friend! Teka! She exclaimed. "Dito tayo sa labas!" And without hesitation, she dragged me out of the room. "Saan ka ba nanggaling? Pinaghintay mo talaga 'yung kaibigan namin ha!"
I smiled awkwardly.
"Oh! Ilang years na rin no? Nurse ka na doon di ba?" Tanong niya.
"Oo."
"Speaking about your daughter! Nasaan siya? Oh my God! I want to see her!
