It had been 3 months since Ryder and the pups were rescued. The pups were scarred by the imprisonment.
Rubble finally confessed that they had used spiders to torture him, explaining the bruising on his body.
Rocky suffered from water boarding and was now terrified of water.
Skye later confessed her fear of eagles. She wouldn't explain why.
Chase had always been afraid of dentists and it had nothing to do with the imprisonment. Or so he said.
Zuma didn't like the cold, since he was placed in a freezer.
Marshall didn't like heights, but he didn't want to explain.
Thanks to Mayor Goodway, and the people of Adventure Bay, Ryder and the pups finally had a home to call their own. The catch?
"PAW Patrol, to the Lookout!" Ryder yelled.
"Ryder needs us!" the pups said simultaneously.
The pups immediately stopped what they were doing and ran towards a large tower on top of a hill. It resembled a lighthouse. They called it the 'Lookout'. Climbing into an elevator, the pups put on their uniforms.
"Ready for action, Ryder, sir!" Chase saluted.
Ryder clicked his stop watch. "Great timing, guys!" The pups howled and barked. "You guys are ready for a real emergency. We just have to wait for one to come up." Ryder walked over to the fireman's pole. "Be on alert!" he said before sliding down.
"So, what do you pups want to do today?" Rocky asked, scratching behind his ear.
"Let's go to the park!" Skye yipped. All the pups agreed.
"You guys go ahead. I'll stay here," Chase said.
"Don't you want to play, Chase?" Rubble whimpered.
"Of course I do, Rubble. But what if Ryder needs us and we're too far away? What if there's an emergency and he forgets to call? What if-"
"Relax, dude," Zuma said. "Ryder would never leave without us. Besides, we've all got these new collars. We'll come back when he calls."
"Yeah, come on, Chase!" Skye said. "Let's go play!" She did a backflip and ran off, barking and yipping. Everyone else but Chase followed.
Chase felt his chest tighten and sighed. She's so cute when she's happy, he thought. Shaking his head, he ran off after the other pups, howling happily.

Mayor Goodway was going through a stack of papers. Bills to be paid, laws to be passed, residential complaints. The Mayor sighed. She was having a tough day. With the PAW Patrol's training going so well, however, her job was going to get a lot easier.
"Mayor Goodway? Ryder is here to see you," her secretary said.
"Oh, good. Send him in." Ryder soon walked in, sitting down in one of the chairs. "Ryder, it's so nice to see you!"
"Nice to see you too, Mayor," he said, smiling.
"I hope you and your pups are enjoying the old lighthouse. Do you have everything you need?" she asked, recalling the events that plagued their minds from only a few months ago.
"Yes, everything's great. The pups came up with a great name for it too. We call it 'The Lookout', since it has a telescope and all."
"Wonderful!" the Mayor smiled. They both sat there, staring at each other in uncomfortable silence.
