To say I was excited when Sadie called me the first time, would be an understatement. I was psyched.

When she mentioned she used to hurt herself, a lot of things made sense. Like how she wears long sleeves, or how she rubs her arms when she's scared. I couldn't help but think how such a perfect person could go through so much. After the video call with her, I took a shower, and went to check up on Lexi.

Once I stepped into Lexi's room, I noticed something was different. She put down all her Barbie posters.

'Hey, Lex? Where are you?'

'I'm in here!' She yelled from her closet. I go in to see her still in her pajamas. 'Lucas!' She jumped over to me and hugged me tight. 'My friend is coming over today, help me pick a dress..' She dragged me over to her piles of dresses.

I swear this kid is five, and she has more clothes than me and my parents combined.

'Pink, or Yellow?'

'Yellow.' I mumble.

''Kay, thanks!'

I walk down to the kitchen where my mom is sitting on a stool, flipping through a gossip magazine. She turns around when she hears me approaching. 'Morning, cariño.'
[Darling]

'Buenos días, mamá.' I return her hug and still on the stool next to her. Maria brings me a cup of coffee.
[Good morning mom]

Maria has been in our family since I was two. I wouldn't call her a servant, she's so much more than that. She raised me, and I see her as another mother. Even after I grew up, we couldn't let her go. She's family.

'Thanks, Maria.' She gives me a warm smiles and goes back to making Lexi's heart pancakes.

'So how was the show, Luke?' That's another thing with my family, all of them call me Luke, ever since I was little. Well, all of them except Lexi, who called me all sort of names.

I smile thinking of the show. More like who I met at the show.

Sadie Grace Parker.

'Luke? We're waiting?'

'Oh.. Yeah.. The show was great. A-amazing. Lovely.. uh- audience.'

Fuck.

Why am I stuttering?

Maria and Mom both give me wierd looks but don't question anything. Instead, they go on about my mom's reunion with a bunch of her model friends.
After Mom had Lexi, she retired from modeling. I know she misses it, by how she smiles sadly when she still receives a copy of Models Today magazine, or how she takes Lexi on a tour through her modeling photos. But atleast she still works with dad in the company. That's how they met. My dad owns a modeling company with branches all over the world, and my mother used to model for him. Perfect love story.

Lexi comes bounding down the stairs, holding my ringing phone in her hand. 'Lucas!' She yells, Rolling the s. 'Someone called 'Princess' is calling you!'

I instantly blush and look over to Mom and Maria, who are eyeing me with smirks on their faces. 'How did you read it?' I ask Lexi, she's still five, she doesn't know how to read.

'Dad taught me how to read princess, I know it when I see it. Who is your princess, Luke?' She asks.

'Yeah, who is it, Lucas?' Mom asks, still smirking. I grab my phone from Lexi's hand and go up the stairs. Once I'm in the safety of my room, I answer the call. Surprisingly, I'm met with Jaxon's face.

'Hey, mate?' I greet him hesitantly.

'Don't you look thrilled to see me,' He says sarcastically. 'Look, I'll make it quick. I'm supposed to be getting blankets to watch a movie. Say told me she mentioned her self harm in front of you.'
