Jax nudges me. 'Am I the only one who doesn't understand?' He asks, nodding towards the board, which is filled with math equations.

I jot down the next question. 'They are confusing, but once you get the hang of them, they become easier.'

He just groans. 'Help me, after school?'

I nod, just as the bell rings. Jax sighs in relief, packing his bags and leading me out of the room.

We head to the courtyard, where Aleena is waiting for us, saving us a seat.

Jax plops next to her, planting a kiss to her lips. She grins against his mouth.

'Quit it.' Joanna says, wrinkling her nose. She sashays over towards us, and sits next to me. 'My poor virgin eyes.'

At that, Jaxon looks up, a hopeful look in his eyes. Joanna rolls her eyes.

'Yes, Jax, I am a vir-' She begins, but she's cut off by my phone, which starts ringing. Luca's name flashes on the screen.

I smile sheepishly. 'I have to take this, excuse me.'

Jax tosses me his car keys and winks extravagantly. I roll my eyes.

Once I'm in the safety of his car, I answer the call.

'Hey!'

I can almost see Lucas smile. 'Did I interrupt anything?'

'Yes, I was talking to my six other boyfriends.'

'Yeah? How are they?' He plays along.

'They say hi.'

'Princess.'

'Lucas.'

'Hi.'

I grin, even though he can't se it. 'Hi.'

'How are you?'

'I'm good. Are you okay?'

'Why wouldn't I be?'

'Lucas.' I say, warningly. He's quiet, quiet for too long. I grow worried. 'Luca-'

'The company arranged a party.'

I frown. 'For you?'

'Yes, a... birthday party. And they invited everyone.'

'Everyone?'

'Yes.' He replies. 'And well, I was wondering...'

I wait. He doesn't say anything, and the quiet is unnerving. 'Luca, what is it?'

'Can you come?'

'I have two lessons left. Jax will drive me after school. Good?'

'I-' He takes in a breath. 'Yes.' He says, shortly.

'Lucas.'

'Princess.'

'I'll come after school, and we can talk, yeah?'
