"Failure will not be tolerated." Is something I started saying when I came to this world.
A simple small mistake could lead to chaos within seconds and overlooking one problem, will only cause more to come.
A Knight, a Valkyrie, a Hero, a Villain, or a Bystander, I choose to be none of it.
While it's true that fate is nothing more than a simple game of chess and the role you play will either benefit you... or turn against you.
Your decisions do not matter whatever path you choose because it is already decided...
Or is it?
While playing in any type of role, you essentially sealed your own fate. However, if you decided to not choose any roles, you became a "lost cause" and eventually, an anomaly.
An anomaly does not simply bound to the strings of fate and could choose for themselves, creating paths and decisions that lead to unknowns, causing the world to be "unstable".
And thus, making the anomaly a prime target to be whipped off the board...
To sum it up... You're basically bringing a Yu-Gi-Oh card in an UNO! deck while playing Poker, so... what kind of rule do you apply to that?
And as much as I wanted to rant about stupid things such as God and fate, I need to focus on my main objective.
Find the others while Sieg will try to assist those brats if he managed to find them...
So imagine my surprise when I found out that Theresa's cross had wrapped the three of them into a ball to soften their landing.
Gotta give credit to Theresa for her quick thinking by using the Soulium's ability to protect everyone from the fall...
Minus the fact that those three probably bounced inside the chunk of Soulium evidenced by the fact that all of them are unconscious and ended up in... a questionable position...
Normally, for regular human beings, bouncing inside a chunk of metal that dropped from high places would've killed them or if lucky, broken a few bones.
However... Valkyries are not categorized as "regular" humans so they should be fine... probably...
"Cecilia! Theresa!" Yelling their name as I knelt next to them.
Several bruises, no fatal... Pulses are still active, difficulty in breathing... Suspects are unconscious due to the impact on landing and hard to breathe in unnatural environments...
[Since when did you become a professional at medical checkups?]
"Oh please, I was a Ph. D. for several professions, compared to the amount of work I've done, this is nothing."
[You certainly don't look nor act like one.]
"How rude." Cutting off my conversation with ERA as I walked over to the person who I had pulled away from earlier.
I didn't expect that Fu Hua would be here before us... I was expecting her to come here immediately when she finished sending off the trespasser when we arrive, not the other way around.
But that's just how fate like to work, so I'm not going to complain about it...
No bruises... Unconscious due to... stamina exhaustion? Pulses are... 60-75 per minute... Not life-threatening but... judging from earlier she probably had died or got her limbs taken off multiple times...
[Why didn't you wake the other two up by slapping them?] Ignoring ERA as I continue checking on her condition.
Suspect could develop trauma and potentially... Thanatophobia or rather, fear of death due to first experience in looping back in time.
