Chapter 2 (Rewritten)

Letting Patricia rest on a nearby tree as Welt looks back at the Babylon Tower... His usual brown eyes glow red as he scans the area...

A frown on his face as he saw a sea of souls surrounding the tower. It was pitch black, even with his ability it was difficult for him to see, but he could feel it.

Deep within those souls were several Honkai Reactors, and... A human child who's soon to be the next Herrscher...

Just how far will THAT man will go to accomplish his goal?

"You're one to talk." One of the voices within his core said...

"Have you forgotten what you've done to that girl's life?" Another voice said...

"We are no different from him." And another...

"We're not on the side of justice either." And another...

"We are no hero either." And another...

Hundreds to thousands of souls spoke in his mind. It is a headache to listen to hundreds of strangers in your head speak at once.

He even had difficulties adjusting to it during the first few months when he decided to take up his friend's power... However, they have a point...

Looking into the palms of his hands he could still remember the day when his hands were covered in blood... How they were shaking due to his fear...

How he had ruined someone's life completely-!

"Still dwelling yourself in the past?" A child's voice cut his thoughts completely.

Lowering his hands and looking over his side, he could see a small child with pale skin and black hair, wearing what seemed to be prisoner clothes.

Before he could blink, the child was no longer beside him, as the child was now standing in front of him, looking at him with cold blue eyes.

"We both know that you can't plug your ears and cover your eyes forever. No one can escape time, and you're no exception either." Another blink, and he saw the child was nowhere to be found.

As if that child never existed...

Welt Yang, however, didn't seem to be surprised at the child's disappearance and simply chose to ignore it as he was focusing on something else.

Welt's eyes glowed red as he spotted a small ship flying in the sky of Siberia, and in it was a group of people that were either piloting the ship or waiting to reach their drop point.

Welt immediately recognized one of them, indicated by a small smile that appeared on his face.

Einstein and Tesla won't be arriving anytime soon, and he knows that once Tesla finds out about his decision, he'll get an earful from her, but...

Keeping more people on his side is currently his priority.

Spinning the pistol in his hand as the white-haired man leaned on the balcony of the flying ship, ignoring the fact that their pilot was yelling at him and his teammate over the coms as he looked down at the ground of Siberia.

A slight pinkish glow within the plane of white snow was enough for him to let out a smile.

"Alright!" He said, turning to his teammates as he put the gun back in its holster under his long blue coat. Still ignoring the pilot's constant yelling.

His teammates immediately understood what their leader was about to do as the woman dressed in red let out a smile while the woman dressed in blue let out a sigh as she pinched the bridge of their nose.
