In the end I decided to not go to Arizona, it wasn't the best timing, and I just couldn't leave my job. I was about to quit the office and work full time at the bar, but I realized I really need the money. If Scar and I want to move out of this apartment and move into a bigger house in a different state, then I should at least suck it up and get some good pay at the office.

Fireworks boom as I look over papers in the office. Z may be the boss of this company, but he is not physically here. I didn't have to worry about talking to him... I sat at my empty office doing nothing. Nothing but feeling like shit to myself. I finished the papers, but I just wasn't ready to go back home. Scar was with Cole, celebrating with him and his family. I just didn't want to go back home to an empty apartment. Scar offered me to go with them, but I didn't want to intrude. And I told her I had to work till morning. So, if I go home too early, I don't want Scar to notice and feel guilty.

Last fourth of July was interesting. Z ruined my love for fireworks and just my capability to love again for a very long time. That summer after my freshman year we accidently bumped into each other at another coffee shop. I was in a rush to get coffee for Scar and our group of friends. "Hey" I said smiling seeing Z seated at a table.

"Hi" he responded

"Are you not doing anything for the Fourth of July?" I ask after ordering six coffees.

" Not really" He shakes his head

"Do you want to join us?" I ask without hesitation. "There's a festival, and they'll have food and a whole bunch of fireworks. And the best thing is, the fireworks are going to match with the songs there going to be playing" I explained

"I wouldn't want to be a bother," he said looking out the window.

"Come on Zi Zi" I laugh " You're a pain in the butt but it's going to be fun, come on, and I also need help caring all this coffee" I smirk.

" Fine" he rolled his eyes as he took four of the coffees in the drink carrier along with his. I smile as I take Scars and I's coffee. I led the way to my friends and gave each of them their coffee. I explained to them that Zion would tag along with us because why not and we all walked to the festival which was right across the coffee shop. His biting down on his lower lip, forcing himself not to smile as much. I could tell because I was doing the same when I made eye contact with him.

"Roof" I said as I looked above the Jump building. "That's the best spot. And where just early enough that it's not crowded yet" I said, jumping around. Scar holds my camera because she knows how hyper I can get.

"Let's get some food first. I heard a couple of us would vibe laying on the grass where the hill is. They will meet us on top of the roof later" Sam said. Sam was the one who helped gather more people to watch fireworks with us, he's also the guy who introduced Cole to Scar.

"Alright" I said smiling. I was so excited to get food that I may have spent more than I should of. But when Sam, Cole, Z, and I arrived at the top as the others went to the hill. We gathered our foods together and had a little picnic on the tables that were on the roof. It was the best sight to see fireworks. The roof had trees, flowers, couches and tables, even a play area with a playground for the kids. It even had swings. "Dude, Zi Zi this fricking Mexican corn is boom bro like fuck" I say chewing as I look at the sunset. Parmesan cheese and a little chili powder covering my mouth. "Oh shit!" I jumped out of my seat, finished the Mexican corn and tossed it in the garbage. "Camera" I looked at Scar as she handed me the camera. I put the camera strap around my neck, and I start to take photos of the sunset and I grin as I look back at them. I look beside me and spot Z holding his camera in his hands, the camera strap wrapped around his wrist and four of his fingers, smirking at me.
