Chapter - 14

Third person's POV

When the both of them arrived at Austin's grandparents house, Amber didn't wait Austin to come along. She took fast steps towards the mansion stepping away from Austin. But two guards stopped her from entering the door.

"Who do you think you are miss? You can't enter inside like this. " One of the guard said to her.

"Wait, what? You don't know me? " Amber confusedly asked.

"You need to move back, miss." another guard said.

"You don't know me? I am Amber, Amberpreet Kaur Thind. Does the name rings any bell?? "she asked she felt a presence behind her that she was very well aware of.

"Good evening, boss." the guards greeted and bowed down.

"Oh, so you greet him and bow to him like he is some royalty while ignoring me. This is so stupid. " she murmured the last sentence mostly to herself but Austin standing so close to her heard it.

"Miss you can't enter." the guard said when she again tried to wnter inside.

"Why the hell can't i enter? Austin say something." Amber said angrily.

"Don't let her come inside till i say so." Austin said while eyeing the guards and went inside without giving other glance her way.

"What? Hey listen you Austin ,listen to me you idiot, nonsense, donkey, monkey, hey!!" Amber kept shouting but he didn't turn back and soon disappeared from her sight.

The guards came to know that she must be important because after saying such things to their boss, the person is shot in the head with no remorse.

"Ullu da pattha"(son of owl) she cursed him loudly because she knew that no one will understand what she is saying and took out her mobile from her pocket. She called someone she know could help and after some rings he picked her call.

"Hello" Cole picked the call.

"Yaar i am outside your house but guards are not letting me in. That idiot brother of yours left me standing out here and said to thr guards to not let me in. " she said while glaring at the guards.

She went towards the swings in the open area and guards kept following her like bodyguards.

"Come here fast. I am waiting outside." she cut the call after saying and looked at the guards.

"You guys look very serious for this job. Even the guards at the bank don't look so serious." she said to them.

"You have to stand here in such a hot weather. You guys should work as gym trainers or something. I don't even understand why they need so much security. I means my brothers are also businessmen like them but we never had security......" she was speaking nonstop and the guards listened to her like students listen to their teachers.
While Austin was standing by the window looking at Amber with adoration. He was listening to her talking to the guards and smiling like an idiot. When he saw his family going towards Amber, he moved back inside.

"Amber " Rossie called Amber who was busy talking to the guards not caring if they respond or not. When amber heard Rossie's voice, she looked up and found the family coming towards her. She stood up from the swings and moved towards them.

"Hello everyone" Amber said and thry wished her back.

"How are you, my child? " Austin's grandpa asked her.

"I am good. How are you all? " Amber asked.

"We are all good. How was your flight, dear? " Austin's grandmother asked.

"It was good."she replied happily.

They started asking questions after questions not realizing that they are still standing outside.

"Let's go inside and have lunch first. We can talk later. " Austin's mother said.

"Yeah but where is that idiot?"grandpa asked.

"Oh, he left me here. He left me here and ordered the guards to not let me in. " Amber complained.

"I will teach him a good lesson, that idiot. " grandpa said.

"Hmm, good." Amber muttered.

"Let's go." Rossie said and everyone went inside and to the dining room.

"Amber if you have any problem with the apartment, you can tell Austin. He will take care of it in no time. "grandma said.

"Ji(yes)" she replied.

"Where is that idiot anyways? I haven't seen him yet. " grandpa asked.

"The idiot is coming here. " Amber said pointing at Austin who was coming down stairs. When he heard her, he raise a eyebrow at her which she blatantly ignored.

"You idoit!! Where were you? Why did you leave Amber outside the house? And why did you order the guards to not let her in? " His grandpa asked him.

"Calm down, will you? I was in my room and about Amber, she-" he was saying when Amber interrupted him.

"And American grandpa, he also left my luggage at the airport.", she said while glaring at Austin.

"Grandpa, you know she needs to do her work by her own. If she will not do this then how can you expect her to do office work. And you know I don't like lazy people around me at all. " Austin said while eying Amber. Amber got even more angry because she knew he was right about her being lazy but he should not be accusing her like that in front of every one.

"What you mean by I am lazy, you idiot !! I also don't like pople like you, ullu(owl)!! And i can do any work." Amber said angerly

"Just shut up girl. I don't like to talk to you" Austin said.

"Austin, is this a way to talk to her?" his mother scolded him.

"Mom, I don't like any disrespect towards me and she should know that. Are we clear, Amber?" Austin asked her all the while looking her in the eyes and glaring hard at her.

She nodded and his grandpa smiled looking at them. He know that they are both perfect for each other.

"Don't shake your head like a bull, stupid girl. Answer me verbally" he said to her.
Amber was left speechless listening him talk to her like that. When she did not reply lost in her own thoughts, Austin again got irritated and was going to say something when his grandpa stopped him knowing that if he said something, Amber will not back down and fight him.

"Ok, stop it Austin. Let's have lunch." he said and turned towards Amber.

"Let's have lunch, Amber." he said and sat on his seat. Others also followed his steps and sat down. and moved toward his seat and other also sat down quietly on their seats.

After everyone was seated, the servers started serving them. When a server came to serve Amber, she politely declined to them and served herself. Her mother always says that the food is not cooked with love if made by the chef so the least we could do to show respect towards our food is by serving for ourselves.

Amber was surprised when she noticed that most of the dishes were Indian and some were Italian.

"Amber, we told the chef to make some indian dishes for you." Austin's mother said.

"Thank you" Amber replied happily with a smile and severed herself.
