Chapter - 23

Third Person P. O. V

There were no emotions on Amber's face and she didn't give him any reaction. She just kept looking at his face.

"I think Amber is not interested to work with me." Mr. Yadav said.

" No " Came Amber's response immediately.

"Sorry and please don't call me by my name" Amber said with no emotion in her voice.

"Oh please Amber. It's not like we don't know each other." Mr. Yadav said.

Amber was going to say something when Austin came.

"So I hope you both introduced yourselves to each other and will cooperate with each other to get the best results. " Austin sternly said without any emotions on his face.

"Of course Mr. Smith. We both partners will give you the best result." Mr. Yadav said with a smile.

"Hmm, let's see what you work partners can do." Austin said tightly while forcing on work partners, and turned towards Amber.

"Miss. Amber, can you go and call Luke for me? "Austin said to amber.

"Of course Mr. Smith" Amber said without making any eye contact with him which was unusual.

Amber start looking for Luke but he was nowhere to be seen and was not even picking her calls. She moved towards the lobby to search for Luke there but he was not present there also. Amber was coming back when someone pulled her hand .

"What the hell!?!" Amber shouted and kicked that person trying to free herself but all her movements stopped when she saw the person.

"You" Amber whispered silently.

"Yes my jaana, it's me, your Abhinav" He said holding her chubby cheeks in his hands.

"Don..Don't...Touch me." Amber stuttered jerking his hands away from her and moved back.

"Why, are you not happy to work with me, huh jaana? " Abhinav asked worryingly.

"No. No, I don't want to work with you and i wish not to see your face again after this project." Amber said while tears started forming in her eyes.

"Why, what I have done?" Abhinav asked looking confused.

"You don't know, huh? Seriously, you and An-" Amber was saying when Luke suddenly came.

"Finally, I found you Amber." Luke said and then saw Abhinav standing near Amber.

"Hello Mr.Yadav." Luke said to Abhinav and Amber cleaned her eyes.

"Hello, Mr. Ivanov. How are you doing,? " Abhinav asked Luke.

"Good. And you?" Luke asked.

"I am good now that i met my friend. " Abhinav said looking towards Amber with a smile.

"Friends? You and Amber?" Luke asked looking confused.

"Yeah, we both are college friends." Abhinav said with a smile when Austin also came there.

"Luke and Amber, I have been looking for you both like an idiot and here you are, talking." Austin said sternly.

"We both were coming when we met Mr. Yadav here and i got to know that Amber and him are college friends." Luke said.

"Oh, it's good as you both have to work with each other and you both will be more comfortable-" Austin was saying when Amber cut him off.

"We should go back to the party hall, Mr. Smith."

"Yeah let's go" Austin said and everyone went back to the party.

Everyone was enjoying but after seeing Abhinav, Amber was not in the mood to enjoy the party. Amber decided to go back home. She came out of the party hall, booked a cab and went back home.

After 2 hours

"Luke did you see Amber? I am not able to find her anywhere. " Austin asked Luke who was sitting at the bar and enjoying his drink.

"She is at home." Luke said before taking a sip if his drink.

"What, when!? She didn't tell me." Austin said angerly.

"I think you forgot or didn't check your message." Luke said smoothly.

"What, I didn't get any message from her" Austin said irritatingly.

"Check your messages" Luke said.

"Fuck. I didn't bring my personal phone with me today." Austin ran a hand through his hairs.

"So she didn't have your business no. and she simply messaged you on your personal no." Luke replied.

"Hmm. It's okay we will soon be going back home anyways." Austin said and took a drink from the counter.

Amber after reaching home

After coming home, Amber directly went to her room, took a bath and wore her comfy clothes. She then covered her head with a chunni /dupatta ( scarf ) properly and took her gutka sahib ( a small size of missal or Brevairy containing chosen hymes Or bani from sikh scriptures). She sat down on the floor in Indian style and did her path from gukta sahib . After doing path she took her mobile from the night stand, opened her whatsapp and saw that Austin hadn't seen her message till now, but ignoring it she messaged her brother Taran.

"He came back, i don't know what to do now. " She messaged him after which she kept the mobile on the side table and went to sleep.

In Morning

It was a peaceful morning. Everyone was sitting on the table for breakfast except one person.

"Where is Amber? " Grandma questioned the family members.

"Austin, did you see her or give her any work-" Gandpa was saying when Austin spoke.

"Pa, she went to office earlier than usual today with her friends because of some planning they are doing." Austin said.

"But what about breakfast?" his mother asked.

"She never have breakfast properly except drinking her tea and do you think she will start her morning without her tea." Austin said focusing on his breakfast.

"Yeah bro is right" Cole said.

"Yeah I saw her in the kitchen early morning and she was wearing Punjabi suit like a long frock type." Rossie said looking at her brother.

"She wore an Indian attire? " Austin asked with a smile as he loves to see her in suit.

"Yeah, that's what I said right now. And yeah, it's called suit." Rossie said teasingly seeing her brother smiling.

"Ok i am done, so i am leaving" Austin got up and left after saying so.

At office

Austin arrived at office feeling very excited to see her in a suit but he couldn't find her anywhere. So he called at reception to ask about Amber.

"Good morning, Mr. Smith. " the receptionist greeted.

"Did Miss Amber come to the office today?" Austin asked without giving a reply to her morning.

"No Mr. Smith. Amber did not come to the office today. " she replied.

Austin cut the call and tried to call Amber but she was not answering his call. He tried again but she didn't answer. He then tried to ask her family members but they didn't know where she was. He also called her office friends and asked them about her and they said that they haven't seen her after the party. Austin was really angry and irritated as there were no signs of Amber.

"Where the hell are you Amber?" Austin angrily mumbled.
