—I'm so tired and it's barely Wednesday—I said leaning my head on Jc's shoulder for support.

—We can skip school and go somewhere—he whispered to me, from how close we were to each other.

—I wish but I can't—I told him, he looked at me confused by it. He knew I never turn down a skip day.—¿why?—

—I'm staying for Student council i need to catch up with nick on the events—

—You've been spending too much time with him.—he sounded bothered by it—You don't like him, right?—

—¿what? —i got up and looked at him puzzled—No, i barely even know him. He's just a friend— i laughed

—I just don't want you to get hurt, you know what happened with Brian.—

—That was junior year Jc—I rolled my eyes. At that time it did hurt a lot but I was over him already. Now I can say I was "heartbroken" by a boy.

—Doesn't matter Gigi—he grabbed my hand gently—I don't want you to get hurt by a dumb boy—I looked down to our hands and then his eyes, those pretty blue eyes. —Jc I'm fine—I giggled

—But nick isn't bad looking either—I messed with him and he rolled his eyes.

Class was over, Hc walked me to my next class and then left to his. I had Nick in that class as well with Brian... we don't talk anymore not even as friends since that day.

Jc was so mad with Brian that he went over to his house. Everything went down that night, i hated Jc for two weeks because of what he did. I told him I had it under control, and that I was old enough to deal with my problems. I hate when he treats me like a little girl, because I'm not.

I also hated being that girl, having two boys argue. Like come on, I'm not living a movie.

I walked in my class to find myself nick and Brian talking. I felt that awkward stare between Brian. I sat down next to nick on the other side of him. I didn't say anything, first until nick did.

—Hey Gigi—he smiled at me once he turned around—Hi nick—

—This is Brian—he introduced him to me— Hi Brian—I gave him a light smile, he looks at me and smiled. Which was strange, I thought he would ignore my presence since that was what we would do to each other.

—¿How have you been Gi?—he asked me—I've been good, you?—

—Good—he looked at me.

—We're going to have lunch together, do you want to join us?—nick asked me—I'm not sure, I usually sit at the same table.—

—Oh come on Gigi, one day won't make a difference.—Brian added, he was right. One day couldn't hurt, but wouldn't it be awkward since we weren't anything anymore.

—sure why not— I laughed, I didn't hold a grudge against Brian, I never did. I was upset at that time but it's just high school  it wasn't the end of the world.

During the lesson Nick went to the restroom leaving Brian and me by ourselves. We didn't speak, although I would feel his eyes staring at me. It felt like he wanted to say something until he had the courage to.

—Hey I want to apologize for what happened between us last year. I really am, I wasn't the best to you. I didn't tell nick about what happened between us, unless you want to.—

—I figured out you didn't. But thanks Brian I appreciate it—

—Let's start out fresh, friends?—he gave me his hand, in a way to make amends.—Yeah, I'd like that— and i shook his hand.
