⚠️ Smut warning ⚠️
THE BIRDS BEGAN TO CHIRP SOFTLY as Rose woke up for the first time that Sunday morning. Although she couldn't sleep that well this night either. Her bedding smelled like a mixture of Billy's After Shave and pub. Constantly this scent drifted in her nose and more than once she dreamed relatively wild things in her short sleep phases.
This distracted immensely and she took to her
bed after getting up. When she blinked carefully for the last time to the clock it was just 6 o'clock in the morning. But it was no matter how often she turned back and forth, she couldn't really fall asleep.
Normally she loved to sleep in as long as possible on Sundays. Her laceration still bothered her immensely and hurt when she got to it. The doctors at the hospital had said it could take up to 14 days for the wound to heal completely. Probably a small scar would remain.Rose also had to go back in the next few days
again to check if it was healing properly. Steve had offered to drive her to appointment, but she was quite capable of doing it herself. She had to promise to let him know if everything went well. After Roselyn had laid down now nevertheless again on the right side and made a last attempt to fall asleep, she heard a sudden noise on the street. It was somewhat muffled by the tilted window, but still easy to hear, since it was at this time on a Sunday was really quiet on the street.
A door slammed loudly, then another door was heard to slam, probably a car door. and then a man's voice yelling:
"THAT'S RIGHT, GET LOST, LIKE FAGS ALWAYS DO, WHINER!"
An engine howled loudly, tires squealing. Rose
was able to get up just in time to look out the window and look down the street to see Billy's blue Camaro speeding away. Standing at the driveway of his house was a man. It had to have been the one from the house who had picked up Max yesterday behind the red-haired woman. As far as Kate could see, he had a bottle of beer in his left hand and was looking angrily up the street. He took a sip from the bottle, looked around a bit, and then walked slowly back into the house.
What was that about? All the way Billy had obviously driven away quickly because a man, probably his father, had yelled at him. But the way he had titled him. "The way faggots do" and "whiners" he had shouted. That had been unmistakable.
Rose lay down again on her back in her bed
and pondered over what she had just heard. It was difficult to make assumptions when you didn't know Billy himself or this man, who was probably his father. But when she thought about it so carefully... he had had a blue a bruised cheek and had just left home very quickly away from home. Almost in a hurry.
But good. It was of no use to brood without knowing further details. It was now time to get up
to get up. After breakfast she wanted to meet Steve at the outdoor pool today. She had to promise her parents that someone trustworthy, because Rose should not go swimming alone because of the laceration. Of course Steve had offered himself, since he had already taken care of the incident so lovingly. And maybe it was also good for Steve to distract himself a bit. The separation from Nancy still deeply with him.
Rose got up now first, rummaged fresh things from her closet, which was still not tidied up, and opened her window completely to ventilate. Then she left the bedroom.
