Opening her eyes she felt at home in the forest but that soon came to an end when she saw the riders. "What do you want?" she asked.

"We want you to go back to Avalon," the rider said.

"No, besides my dragon is still a baby and I am not of their official riders," Lilly replied.

"Why would they bring you here of all places?" the rider asked.

"None of your business," Lilly said.

"Well it's my business when a guardian from another kingdom wants to join our kingdom guardians for self-gain," the rider said.

"Look I don't want anything from your kingdom. I don't like the city anyway," Lilly said packing up her camp.

"Where are you going?" the rider asked.

"As far away from you as possible," Lilly replied.

"O really and where are you planning on going?" he asked.

"As I told you, mister, that's not your problem," Lilly said as she picked up the last of her things and looked at her baby dragon that was now sitting on a rock looking at her. Her white scales made her seem like a healer but Lilly suddenly felt a power coming from the baby dragon.

Looking around Lilly felt a new power rising up in her. Her hands started to glow and soon her whole body was surrounded by this glowing light. "Good morning Lilly," came a voice in her head.

"Who are you?" Lilly asked.

"Me well my name is Diamond and I am your dragon," Diamond spoke to her in her head.

"Wait you can talk to me in my head?" Lilly asked Diamond.

"It's just one skill we have as dragon guardians and the rider that bough us here was right there are those that will kill us if they find us," Diamond said.

"What do you mean?"Lilly asked.

"Well, Lilly Lionheart you are one of Avalon's princesses and also known as the guardian princess that died. You being dead was felt by every guardian rider and dragon out there and if they learn you survived it will shock them but more importantly, your father and brother will come for you and then they will kill me," Diamond said.

"Why would they kill you and I am not a princess. I grew up in a forest. As far as I know, I am an orphan," Lilly said.

"Well, that's because in Avalon women are not allowed to be riders but here in Caledonia, it's different you really are a princess Lilly I can tell but I can see from your memories you didn't know. " Diamond said.

"Hello I am talking to you?" the rider said.

"You know you are very rude interrupting our conversation," Lilly told the rider.

"Wait I am interrupting your conversation, with who exactly?" the rider said but soon realised Lilly was talking to her dragon. "She spoke to me for the first time?" Lilly said pointing to her dragon.

"I noticed she is still so small," the rider asked.

"Well why don't you leave me alone then," Lilly asked.

"Can't I have been ordered to escort you to the border of our country," the rider said.

"What, well that won't be necessary I think I will walk through the forest on my way back to my home," Lilly replied.

"I was ordered to take you there myself," the rider replied.

"Fine, you can take me but drop me off as close to the forest at the border of the two countries as you can get me. I live in the forest itself," Lilly said.

"Your kidding right, you want me to take you to the forbidden forest?" the rider asked.

"Well I don't know what you call it but I call it home," Lilly said as she walked to the riders that were waiting for her.

"Well you can stop acting we're taking you home," the rider said.

Lilly was shocked to find the riders left her in Avalon in a village, not from the forbidden forest. "You idiot," Lilly shouted as the guardian riders flew away.

Lilly looked at the villagers and then ran out as fast as her legs could take her. With Diamond at her side, Lilly moved as fast as she could. Everyone wanted her dragon dead and she wasn't going to let them kill her.

Lilly came to a full stop when she noticed she couldn't see the villagers anymore. "Now they will be looking for us," Lilly said out loud.

Diamond sat on a tree and said, "I wouldn't be sure of that, the forbidden forest is forbidden for a reason and not even the most skilled riders would dare to enter this forest," Diamond said.

"Well you better get used to the forest because it will be our home for a while," Lilly said.

"Why are you so upset?" Diamond asked confused.

"Because I am alone because I don't understand why this had to happen. I got excited for a change that wasn't meant for me," Lilly said.

Lilly found her old campsite with all her weapons and exactly where she left everything. Now, let's move camp," Lilly said.

She found a cave that was hidden between two very big oak trees. Walking inside she felt that she was at home. Moving all her gear to the cave she took her bow and arrow and went looking for food.

Diamond flying close to her rider was surprised at her rider's actions. Most riders will not dare to enter the forbidden forest and yet Lilly her rider treated the forbidden place like her home.

Spotting a small deer Lilly aimed her bow at the deer and fired her arrow killing the small dear instantly. Diamond killed her own food and was busy eating it when Lilly picked up her deer and returned to the cave where she prepared it for dinner.

She fell asleep the moment her eyes closed. The fire died and the sound of the forest was a welcome lullaby for her ears.
