Lilly Lionheart. The Lost Crown

Chapter 21

Leo looked shocked at Lilly and asked," What do you mean your power has been sealed?" 

"They took my powers away so that I would not have the power to fight them anymore," Lilly repeated her words. 

"The wedding wasn't your idea?" he asked. 

"We agreed to do it after this mess has been cleaned up Leo but our parents decided it's best not to wait. They don't believe the elder dragons and it's no use fighting them on this. I know our fight just got harder but there's nothing we can do," Lilly whispered. 

"Yeah and after last night they will expect a baby soon?" Leo whispered holding Lilly close to his heart. 

"What are we going to do?" Lilly asked. 

"Leave Avalon and go to Magica, Hopefully, we have some time left to prepare but in case we don't we now need a backup plan," Leo whispered. 

Lilly took a bath and Leo joined her, "look I am sorry I know you warned me this might happen but I should have listened to you," Leo whispered. 

"What does it matter Leo what is done is done," Lilly whispered. 

Lilly's father was really proud and agreed to let them leave the kingdom that day. Leo watched as the wizards removed the seal on her power. Give it a month before her power will be returned to her fully until then you can spend all the time you need getting to know one another," the wizard advised. 

They left the kingdom of Avalon and their families and soon disappeared into Magica's forest far away from Avalon's eyes. 

The doctor on the team confirmed Lilly was now without her power and that there was no way of removing the seal faster. He also told Leo that the seal the wizard placed on her would only release after the princess was pregnant. 

Lilly was devastated and would often sit depressed far from the other riders. She didn't feel her connection to Diamond or anything. "What is wrong with her doctor?" Leo asked. 

"It's the seal it's interfering with her abilities. To her we were all dead, the forest and the dragons were not here anymore. Her connection was cut off and it's what is making her this depressed as it stands I don't know how to help her," the doctor said. 

Everyone got worried nothing got any easier. Within the next month, Lilly was pregnant and everyone was happy. Lilly waited for her power to return but it didn't she trained hard with the other dragon riders getting fit and using her weapons but no matter how hard she tried her power would not return. 

Then a powerful dark creature appeared in the camp and although they were able to defeat it, Lilly felt she wasn't needed anymore and one night got up and left the camp. She wandered deeper and deeper into the forest. Trying to feel her way around the unfamiliar forest. She walked barefoot along the rocks and carefully lifting her dress she slowly found her way around the trees. A spring the sound of water was a welcome toon to her ears. 

She missed the forest she missed its sounds its music. Tears fell down her cheeks as she felt a part of her missing and broken. Touching her growing belly she knew the life in her was not one she would want or love. But how can she punish her child for something that was not its fault? 

"Why are you here child?" a voice came to her. 

"Leave me alone, I want to be alone," Lilly whispered. The voice heard her but refused to move. "A child is a blessing to the future prince. I believe congratulations are in order," the old voice said. 

"Leave me alone, " Lilly said as she got up and walked away from the old lady who was now standing staring at her partner. 

"If you leave now we won't be able to help you, princess," the old woman said.

"What are you talking about? I lost my power and my bond with Diamond. I am pregnant as well and the worse is I don't want this child," Lilly said bitterly. 

The child will be a blessing dear princess, this might not be what you wanted or planned but it's not the end of the world. Tell me why are you so bitter about this unborn child of yours" the old lady asked. 

Lilly explained about the dark creatures and her ability to fight them. She told them how she grew up and how she loved her connection with nature. How she met Diamond and how she met her husband Leo but her voice became venom when she spoke about Leo's parents and her own. She told them how everyone thought the kingdom of Mythica was responsible for the dark creatures' creation. She explained how the kingdoms sealed her power believing it will bring an end to the dark creatures. 

"The kingdom of Mythica isn't responsible for the creation and the dark creatures. Many centuries ago a dark wizard created a power that enabled him to force creatures to turn into their darkest side. He would use this power to find himself a bride and force her to bare him a child. This child would grow up to be the next wizard and so for centuries, this tradition would continue until one day the kingdom of Mythica found a way to purify the dark creatures. They managed to do what most kingdoms couldn't.  

The dragon saw this as a sign and made the kingdom of Magica their kingdom and so the first dragon riders were chosen. Years later many of the mythical creatures would come to Mythica to start their live of peace within its borders. Some of the creatures followed the dragon's example and chose riders. Together they kept everyone safe providing a bright future for its people. A council called the Guardians was created and they ruled over the country along with its king and queen preventing the dark wizard from harming its people.
