Chapter 4: Adulting

Fluke: Ready to Take on the World.

Earth: Must look the part

Now venturing into adulthood, Fluke and Earth are ready to make a mark in the fashion industry.

Picks Earth up from his house to where he's interning. In the car they talk about how exciting it is to be kick-starting the careers. The two made sure they dress in a stylish but professional manner, and they did not disappoint. They are ready to take on the World.

Fluke drops Earth off and then drives to his workplace. There, he and one other intern were introduced to the team and given a tour of the company. Fluke can't help but be amazed. It was always his dream to work for this world class hotel and now here he is working towards his dream. The goal is to secure a permanent position here. An employee by the name of Samantha (Sam, as she prefers to be called) is assigned the task of overseeing and showing the ropes to Fluke. A job she is eager to take on after meeting Fluke. She just immediately takes a liking to Fluke the second she saw him. She was tempted to just go to him to grab him a give him a tight hug and squeeze his adorable cheeks.

"Ahh, Fluke, are you excited. We're going to have a lot fun!!", Sam squeals.
"I'm happy to be here Ms. Samantha. I can't wait to start", Fluke answers with a big smile on his face.
"Awww, you're just too cute. Please call me Sam. I'm still very young you know", Sam says giving holding Fluke's shoulders to try and ease his nerves because she can see he is nervous".
"Oh, OK. Sam" He says nervously
"Fluke I need to fix something quick. Come with me", with that she grabs Fluke into the bathroom. Yes, women's bathroom.
"Sam I can't be in here. I'll be in trouble if anyone finds me here", Fluke protests.
"Don't worry, I won't we long", Sam reassures. She open the tap and runs the water on her hands. "Here, come here". Before Fluke can says anything, she puts her hands on his head and ruffles his hair, then used her fingers again to brush it.
"There, now you don't look like grandpa", she says with a proud look of her face admiring her work.
"Ow, but Sam-" Fluke tries to protest, but Sam stops him.
"You look great", she promises.

"You need to loosen up a bit, Fluke. Pity we can't do anything about the clothes, we have to stick to this dress code, but I'm impressed, you make it work.", Sam advises
"It's my first day, so I thought I'd impress", Fluke says, embarrassed.
"Oh, by the way, there's a new Director of Sales and Marketing joining the hotel tomorrow. He'll be her at 10am and we'll have a meeting with him at 10:30", Sam briefs Flukes and goes over the list of tasks that they must complete for tomorrow's meeting.
"They say he's very talented, fresh from abroad, One of the youngest directors in the country . Ohhhh, I can't wait to meet this guy. Apparently he's very handsome too", Sam says excitedly. Fluke just listens attentively and nods and smiles.
The days goes on as Sam shows him how a lot of things work. He also assists her in compiling the information needed for tomorrow's meeting. This takes up most of the day and before they know, it was time to close up.

"Today wasn't so bad after all. Sam is so sweet. I'm glad I was assigned to her", Fluke thinks to himself with relief as he walks up to his car.

It's the end of the day, and Fluke is picking Earth from his work and dropping him off at the house . On the way they catch up, and tell each other about their first day at work. All Earth wants to talk about is the handsome model he met at work.
"His name, is Kao. He's soooo hot, but he's so grumpy", Earth explains, sounding almost disappointed. Fluke just smiled. He's thinking about tomorrow's and anxious snout the new Director of Sales & Marketing. He wants to make an impression as a new intern.

"Oh, yeah, I'm picking up my new car tomorrow!!!!" Earth screams. "Now you won't have to drive me home and then drive back to your place. It would be too much for you" Earth voices his concerns.
"Nah, it's OK. I didn't mind in any case. But I'm happy for you, Coo", Fluke says to his bestie.

They reach Earth's place and say their goodbyes. "I'll pick you up at 7:30", Fluke screams out as Earth has already jumped off and ran to the entrance. Earth, turns around and blew a kiss to his friend who just smiles and air kisses.

Finally Fluke is at his condo. Jumps on his bed and just lays there for a few minutes before he decides that a nice long hot bath will do him good. While sitting in the bath tub he can't help but think about tomorrow. He's only just started as an intern and he's already been thrown into the deep end. He shakes his head as if shaking off the thoughts. He just wants to have a relaxing night. He'll worry about tomorrow when he gets there.
