Chapter 18: Oh Oh! Parents!

It is still the day after the incident and Ohm, Fluke, Earth and Kao who joined the trio afterwards are at Fluke's place, because, according to Earth, Fluke needs to be protected from Ohm. As if Ohm is not feeling bad enough about last night, he's now made out to be the villain. Fluke and Kao (secretly) sympathise.

Ohm's phone rings and everyone stops talking. They could tell that Ohm is nervous. "Are you not going to answer that Phi?Earth retorts. Ohm just looks at him and swallow.

" H...hello, mom... At Fluke's place...I know, mom...Today? ...I understand, mom...OK, we'll be there" Ohm then ends the call.

Everyone is looking at Ohm with questions on their faces. They are waiting to hear what the all was about.
"Mom and Dad wants to see us...well to see Fluke and talk to me, so we have to go there now, love" Ohm says this looking at Fluke. Earth has that 'you're in trouble look' at Ohm and smirks. "Then let me get my stuff so we can go" Fluke answers. Earth and Kao decide it is also their cue so they bid their good byes. "Good luck, man", Kao says patting Ohm on the shoulder before he goes out. Ohm nervously chuckles and says thanks.

They reach Ohm's parents house. Ohm's mom opens the door and gives Ohm the look and then proceeds to greet Fluke and giving him a warm hug. Poor Ohm just wants the ground to open up and swallow him. Fluke can't help but feel sorry for him. Ohm's mom then ushers them to the living area where they are find that Fluke's parents are also there. Fluke runs to his mother and father and gives them a hug. They haven't seen each other in a while. It's was great to see each other even under the circumstances. Ohm also greets them.

Ohm's mom has prepared tea for everyone, so they all sit together for 'the talk'.
"I think we all know why we're all here", Ohm's dad starts. "We have all been acquainted with what happened last night. Fluke my son, are you doing with all this?" Ohm's dad asks Fluke. "I am doing fine, dad. Ohm and I talked about it last night", Fluke answers, putting his hand on Ohm's, in a way assuring him that he's with him in this. Ohm gladly holds onto Fluke's hand accepting the comfort.

"But now, I want to hear from you Ohm. What have you got to say? ", Ohm's mom chimes in. Of course Ohm starts from them beginning explaining everything to the two sets of parents who are listening attentively and nodding their heads.

"Moms, dads, Fluke and I are meeting with Mr Suwan this evening to clarify everything" Ohm says, this time feeling more at ease and the parents now get the picture. They understand now that it's a case of one person not willing to take no for an answer.
"Well, that's good. And it's about time you two finalise your wedding preparations. You only have four weeks left" Fluke's dad reminds them.
"Everything is done. We're only left with the cake and our wedding attires". Fluke says excitedly.

Everyone seems to be happy now. So they chat and spend a little more time. They also discuss the wedding details and finalizing the move to the new house.

They plan to move into the new house before the wedding, so they plan on loving their personal items there within the next few days. They also need sort out the furniture, but that can also be later as long as they have their bed and kitchen sorted. Those are the most important things 😉. Parents are happy to hear this, so they offer their encouragement

It's time now for Fluke and Ohm to get over the last hurdle, so they are getting

ready for the dinner meeting with Mr Suwan. They will be meeting at one of La Torre Azurra's restaurants' private dining room. So they both go to Ohm's place to get ready. This is not an issue as Ohm and Fluke have made Fluke's apartment and Ohm's penthouse both their homes, so it's not surprising that they'd both have their personal things at either place.

They give each other a kiss for courage before they head on to the restaurant on the lower level of the hotel.
