Chapter 24: Let's Go Out

Lately I have preoccupied with hunting down the bastards that hurt Fluke. My friend from the police precinct had been of great help. I was able to identify one of them and followed his movements. He's been secretly meeting with a woman almost on a daily basis. I don't know if this was related to Fluke but I was determined to find out.

He got into her car and they drove off to a secluded area. I decided to follow them discreetly. For a while they sat in the car and I thought they'd never get. I was about to give for the day until the scumbag got out. He looked very irritated. Seemed he was not happy with something. A few minutes later the woman got out and they were arguing. I couldn't exactly hear what they were talking about and the woman was facing the opposite direction. I decided to move closer, to try and listen.

"You fool, you didn't do the job. You were supposed to finish the job right there and then. How dare you demand more money from me?" the woman scoffs. That voice. I have heard that voice before, but where? I couldn't put my finger on it, but I swear I have heard it before. Damn it if only I could see her face.

"Look here lady, it's not my fault that that guy is still alive. Your plan was stupid  in the first place. Now you need to give me my money or else..." the man threatened.
"You will get your money when you finish the job. I will not let anyone stand in my way. I always get what I want and no one is going to stand in my way. Do you understand? You go and do as I ordered and make sure he is dead this time!" she orders.

I took some pictures and recordings with my phone a sent them straight away to my police friend. I could not get a clear view of the woman because she was wearing a scarf over her head and sunglasses, but I hoped this would be enough. I knew I had to get close to that S.O.B and somehow get him to talk. I could see he was getting frustrated, so maybe it would be best to take advantage of his frustration. I needed to get to him before harms Fluke again, because by the sound of things, they are planning on hurting him again
I know where he lives...

I need to make sure Fluke is protected at all costs. My friend at the prescint has 'friends' who are discreetly watching over Fluke wherever he goes.

Because I have been investigating Fluke's case myself, I have been spending more time away from him. Maybe it's better this way. It helps me keep my mind off of things. Seeing him every and not being able to hold him in my arms has been very difficult. I just cannot bear it anymore. There are times where I sneak into his bedroom when he sleeping and I would just stare at and admire his beautiful face. He is so angelic when he's sleeping. I have been tempted to just slide in the bed and cuddle with him. I yearn to touch him, to be touched by him and to kiss him. How can someone be so close to you and yet still be so far. Damn it, it hurts like hell.

This was one of those nights. I find myself staring at Fluke sleeping again. "I am close at finding who did this to you, baby. They will pay for putting you through this, I promise. I miss you so much. I want you to remember us baby. I want us to go back to where we were. I love you". I said as I wipe the tears off my eyes. I quickly got up and went out of the room because my heart just couldn't take it.

It was to my surprise that Fluke asked me to go out for dinner with him. I couldn't contain my happiness so I gladly said yes, without any second thoughts. I treasure any time I get to spend with him, even if it's just as friends. He suggested we just go for a drive and stop over at any place where we could grab a bite. I was fine with whatever he wanted to do.

FLUKE
Ohm had been busy with I-don't-know-what, lately. I kept asking myself if he's seeing someone else and if he was getting frustrated at me still not remembering. I don't blame him. He and I practically just roommates, right? He is kind to me and always does what I ask. Sometimes I feel like a burden to him. So I decided I needed to make it up to him.
