Chapter 14: A Dream Realized

Still recovering from the previous day's events and last night's activities, the loved up couple lazily woke up and just decided to stay in bed and cuddle. They both don't have any plans for the day, so they might as well stay in.

"Now that you've graduated, we can focus on your dream, love" Ohm says to Fluke as they start discussing plans for the future.

Fluke had been contemplating on what he was going to do after graduation. He'd raised his aspirations with Ohm and with his parents. He always thought after graduating he'd continue working in the Hospitality industry. He thought securing his internship at La Torre was a stepping stone, but after some time, he felt he hadn't been true to himself. The thought of having to work for someone else didn't quite sit well with him. He knew he had the talent, but he didn't have the guts. He and Ohm had been dating secretly for a while and Ohm continued to encourage him to follow his dreams. "You must believe in yourself, love. Believe in your talent", Ohm would encourage

One day when Ohm slept over at Fluke's he raised the issue again. "Have decided yet, love", Ohm asks. "I think I have made my decision. I have spoken with my parents, and they also support my dream. They are willing to invest. So I'm going ahead", Fluke says, nervously but excited at the same time.
"That's great, love and who knows, maybe in a year's time, I will join you. Remember I told I don't plan on staying at La Torre for more than a year? You can employ me too", Ohm jokes.
"You're too talented to be working as an employee in a café", Fluke jokes back.

Ohm, Fluke and Fluke's parents started looking for suitable spot to open the café. They found the perfect place, a corner spot, that in a busy area where it would be easier to attract patrons. Construction work started almost immediately and by the time Fluke was on his last month as an intern everything was almost done. He also took private barrister classes when he had free time. Sometimes Ohm also joined in, asking a lot of questions. You'd swear that he was the one on training. Just before graduation, furniture and all equipment were all set.

"Everything is set P'Ohm. I have set up social media platforms to promote the grand opening. Earth has been helping me get the word out. Earth has a great social presence and influence which would come in handy when it comes to promoting", Fluke explains.

"I can't wait for the opening. I think we did a great job with this one. I'm proud of you kid", Ohm says kissing Fluke on the cheek.

The grand opening is just next week and Fluke is anxious, but at least he has Ohm to encourage and calm him down. He is so grateful to Ohm for helping him realise his dream. Ohm is his rock and he's been there every step of the way. Now that Fluke is no longer an intern, he can freely promote his business as there's no longer any conflict if interests. Earth has created a lot of buzz and now word is out on the street. The excitement is palpable. Everyone is waiting for the opening if this much talked about spot...

The grand opening was a great success judging from the number of people that visited and the great feedback they received. Fluke was over the moon. He'd been anxious the entire time.

Ohm was always there, supporting his fiancé and he couldn't be any prouder.

He didn't leave Fluke's side, the entire time, making sure to calm Fluke down whenever Fluke became doubtful.

The café continues to do well. It's becoming a preferred hangout spot for the locals. It's popular for its coffees, pastries and the food, and for providing a relaxed atmosphere.
