Chapter 28: The Heart Knows

Ohm, Fluke, Kao and Earth sit on the breakfast nook enjoying their breakfast. No one is saying anything. No teasing this morning as all four know they were naughty the previous night. For Ohm and Fluke, it was a bit of an embarrassing situation as they were both caught naked sleeping on the couch by Earth. They keep looking at each with embarrassed, but content smiles.

They decided to stay for a couple more days at the insistence of Fluke's parents who said they would be joining as well together with Ohm's parents to make it a family vacation. Ohm and Kao were tasked with going to the grocery stores to purchase food items and other things in preparation for the parents arrival.

Earth and Fluke are at the villa, making sure it's clean. Earth didn't want to touch the living room, because...well...last night. Their parents arrived just after they finished cleaning. Apparently they left their homes in the wee hours of the morning because they didn't want to waste any ytime.

It was taking Ohm and Kao quite some time to finish shopping. Earth's list was quite long. Just as they got back, they were given another shopping list, and then another. It was exhausting really and Ohm and Kao were starting to complain, but the parents were quick to say, "be good sons and di as we say, won't you?"

"But why can't Earth and Fluke do it? They have been here the entire time!", Ohm complains.
"Come on, man. It's not that bad. Let's just get this over and done with", Kao says, patting Ohm on the shoulder.
"Hey, why are you on their side? Aren't you tired? Ohm asks Kao.
"I am, but, look, I can't let Earth do all this work when I'm around", Kao replies. "Would you rather see Fluke do all of this while you sit around?", he continues
Ohm looks at Kao and nods. "Yeah, you're right. If I had my way, Fluke would never lift a finger to do anything. He's too precious" Ohm, says proudly.
"You're totally whipped, dude. Just look at you", Kao says with a chuckle.

Eventually, they finish doing all the shopping and running all the errands, now they can relax a bit. Ohm is looking around trying to find Fluke, but he does not see him anywhere and now he's starting to worry. His mother sees this and walks to him.
"Don't worry, son. Fluke is fine. He's in the garden with Earth. They are preparing the BBQ. And besides, we're all here. We won't let anything happen to him", she reassures him. Ohm breaths a sigh of relief and hugs his mom.
"Thanks mom. I can't let anything happen to Fluke especially after I almost lost him. I'd just die if I lose him".
"No such thing will happen and we've made sure of that" Ohm's mom says, giving her son a smile. As Ohm is about to leave to go outside to where Fluke and Earth are, but his mom stops him.

"Son, you need to go take shower first. You stink. You don't want Fluke to see you looking like that", she teases him.
"But mom, I just...", he tries to protest, but his mom stops him, waving he finger at him.
"Now go, food is almost ready, we are eating outside today. It's a beautiful evening"
Ohm accepts defeat and walks up the stairs to his bedroom and into the shower. Once done getting ready, he goes downstairs but sees no one there, so he figures they are all outside and so that's where he goes too.

As I walk outside I still don't see anyone, but what greets me looks like a scene in a fantasy. Fairly lights beautifully draped and hanging on the trees, candles, lighting up the way to the garden. But I'm still wondering where everyone is. Maybe I'm just too early, so I decide to walk around letting the lights lead me, admiring the decorations. It's like a little secret fantasy garden. 'But, wait. The BBQ. I don't see any sign of the BBQ. Just what is happening', I ask myself and just then I feel a pat on my shoulder.

"P'Ohm". The sweetest voice sending shivers into my heart, but soothing it at the same time. I turn around and there he is, like an angel, with his beautiful smile looking up at me. I hug him immediately. "Baby, I miss you so much today", I say as I burry my head into his shoulder, taking in his scent and his warmth. I love him so much and I don't want to let him go.
"I miss you too, P'Ohm. I love you". These words and having my love in my arms like this make me feel complete.
I let go of the hug and cup Fluke's face with my hands directing him to look at me, which he does. His big doe eyes looking straight into mine, making me lose track of reality. "I love you more than anything in this world, Fluke", I say this and lean in to kiss him on his lips. I couldn't help myself. They were just so...inviting.
