Waking up, you were hoping that the whole incident of being trapped in Sword Art had just been a bad dream. There was a part of you that wished meeting Klein wasn't a dream though.

Opening your eyes, you realized you were still in the game. For the most part, you were still upset and worried, but a small part was joyous. An extremely small part.

You decided to climb out of the window and onto the roof instead of using the door. It was still early in the morning, so the air was a bit chilly.

Stretching your arms while standing on the rooftop, you pulled your hood onto your head and jumped to the next rooftop. Maybe there were some quests up on the rooftops that had gone unnoticed by last night's travelers to the town. If anything, you could get a better scoping point.

You knew there would be more players traveling to this town today- it was the closest town to the Town of Beginnings. It would be best to leave here at the earliest time. You only hoped the group would be ready to leave as well.

Looking down at the town square from a rooftop, you saw the marketplace stalls spawning and opening. Since it was so early, you figured you could buy rare items before they were sold out. You hopped down from a rooftop and walked over to an appealing stand.

You bought two crystals from the merchant. Although they were rather pricey in your opinion, it was ones that you knew would come in handy.

One was a healing crystal. It was peach in color, and you could use it on yourself or someone else.

The other was a transport crystal. It was a pretty blue color, and if you got in a bad situation, you could just transport out.

Putting them away in item storage, you once more climbed onto a rooftop. Once you pulled your body up onto the virtual concrete roof, you made your way to the furthest out building on the edge of town.

Once there, you straightened your posture, raised your left arm with your bow in hand, and released an arrow into a wolf roaming in the field.

The wolf shattered upon impact, and the statistics of the kill popped up.

You decided it was time to test out your sword since the sun was now higher in the sky, allowing for more light to bathe the field.

Walking out into the field, you made a couple of empty jabs and stabs to get the feel of the sword. Confident, you looked a few feet away and saw a warthog.

You quietly walked a little closer, raised your sword, held it until it glowed, and then attacked the pig. It disintegrated after one blow.

Spinning the sword, you were now glad you bought it, and hoped it would be enough to keep you alive.

An orange blinking message notification popped up in the upper right corner of your eyesight. You touched the icon with your pointer finger to read it.

It was a message from Klein.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!" the message read.

You slightly laughed to yourself, closed the message, and walked back into town.

Walking through town to the pavilion outside of the inn you spent the night in previously, you saw Klein standing with his group. He appeared to be very serious and slightly worried. You walked over and stood on your toes to see over the men in front of you to hear what he was saying.

"So, we should spl- (Y/N)! There you are!" He suddenly said. You jumped slightly at his outburst of your name. "Oh man! We all thought you abandoned us!"

You shook your head. He moved to hug you, but you gave a face to warn him against it. Thankfully, he read your countenance and acknowledged your warning.

"I was just out shopping and hunting," you said. "I didn't think it would really matter all that much."

"Well, at least now we don't have to organize search parties to find you," he said, placing his right hand on the back of his neck. Issin just shook his head.

"Wait," you said. "Was that really what was going on over here? I can take care of myself just fine."

"Oh," he quickly replied, placing his hands up, "it's not that we doubt that- we just want your help."

You crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow.

"No no no! I didn't mean it like that either!" At this point, his face was red and his arms were flailing. "You're kind of part of the team now. So if you left, we'd have to find you."

You laughed.

"Don't hurt yourself, Klein."

He let out a sigh, then turned to face everyone.

"Okay, so I say we split into groups and try and find out information about starting guilds. Maybe all meet back here at noon?" Issin proposed.

"Sounds like a plan," Klein chimed. "I call (Y/N)!" he yelled, grabbing onto your arm.

You placed your free hand on your temple. This was going to be quite the day.
