Two days later, you were all in the town you spied from the treetop. It was a cold day, and you wrapped your cloak tighter around yourself as you walked through the slightly crowded town alone.
You saw Issin, and he gestured for you to come over to him. You turned and walked to him with a slight smile.
"Hey, could you help me with a quest really quick, (Y/N)?"
That doesn't seem right.
"Wait, don't you want to get the others to help too?" you asked.
"It'll be easier since you're already here."
"Okay," you slowly and cautiously said. "So where is this quest?"
"It's out towards the edge of the forest," he said.
You crossed your arms.
"Let me message Klein so he knows what's up," you said.
His eyes widened briefly.
"You don't need to, I already did."
You narrowed your eyes.
"Let's get going then," you said, pulling out your white sword.
He turned and started walking out of the town, and you cautiously followed him with your sword held tightly in your right hand.
As you approached the edge of the forest, you didn't see any NPC's.
"Issin, I don't see any quests out here."
"Uh, maybe we should go in the forest," he said.
Odd. He doesn't stutter. Something is definitely up with him.
"Is something wrong, Issin?" you firmly inquired.
He turned to you. You tightened your grip even more on your sword and slightly crouched.
"We should go look in the forest, yeah," he said.
"I'm not moving until I get an answer, Issin."
He turned around and looked at you as if caught off guard. Then, it morphed into a crooked smile.
"Sorry about this, (Y/N)."
"What's that supposed to mean?" you yelled.
He then threw the liquid contents of a glass jar at you and you fell to the ground.
Paralysis poison.
You gritted your teeth and looked at him as you attempted to pull yourself off the ground.
He looked around, then leaned over, picked you up, and threw you over his shoulder.
You were trying your best to scream and hit him, but your voice box and limbs had been paralyzed by his poison, making flailing and screaming pointless.
He opened a teleport and stepped through. You were, from what you could tell, in another forest. It was probably on another level.
You knew that the poison wouldn't last much longer. If he didn't get where he was going in time, he was going to know what a mistake he's made.
He then walked through the door of a small secluded cabin, and threw you down into a wooden chair.
You slightly grimaced as he grabbed your shoulder and forced your back against the chair back to tie you into it. Trying to scream and kick once more, you were still getting nowhere. He smiled at your failed efforts.
You glared in hatred at him as he stepped back to admire his handiwork.
The poison wore off, and you immediately gripped the chair in anger.
"YOU'D BETTER START EXPLAINING YOURSELF. NOW."
He leaned back.
"You know, I could have killed you- but I didn't. Wasn't that nice of me?"
You scoffed. He walked closer to you and bended over. As he lightly touched your cheekbone, you immediately flinched and turned away.
He stepped back and turned around.
"Why are you doing this? Klein is your friend," you said.
"It wasn't fair that Klein got to have you. I wanted you. So badly." he said, his voice dripping with poison. "It's okay though, because now I do have you!"
"You're insane," you said through clenched teeth as your eyes figuratively burned holes into him.
"If you know what's good for yourself, you won't say that again," he said.
You didn't pull your eyes away from him.
He turned around to face you once more and leaned on the table.
"I think I'll just tell Klein that you just left and didn't give me a reason when I saw you leave. That's why you didn't join our little guild anyways, right, (Y/N)?"
You remained silent.
He smiled once more at you, and leaned over and picked up a piece of your hair, letting it run through his fingers.
Straightening himself, he walked over to the door and turned around to look at you. He hummed as he smiled at you.
"It's unfortunate I have to leave. I'll be back later though," he said.
You still remained silent, shooting daggers at him with your eyes.
He walked out and slammed the door with a thud.
And then the tears came.
