At some point in the future,3 years had passed.
Meredith and Nick was comfortably laying under the warm sheets after a long night they had.
They were both woken up by a tiny fist hitting their faces causing them to jolted awake making the tiny voice laughed at their reaction.
"Morning to you too baby girl" Nick sighs, slightly disappointed at how his daughter woke him up and badly ruined his dream
"Come here,my little bug... daddy's cranky because he didn't get what he wants from mommy last night" Meredith said in a baby voice that always made their daughter smile and giggle most of the time as she sat her on her lap "Good morning,how did my Luna sleep?" she asked again playing with her daughter's tiny fist
"Excuse me? I'm offended..." Nick said, interrupting Meredith and Luna's mother and daughter moment
"What?" Meredith chuckled looking up at Nick
"You just called me cranky" Nick continue trying to sound offended but can't keep himself from smiling "Why would I be cranky?"
"It's true..." Meredith's said covering her daughter's ears before adding "because I didn't give you sex last night"
"First of all, thank you for making me handle that boner myself which is absolutely rude..." he then said
"I was taking a bath and you were watching me you creep!" she then shot back, playfully
"It's not like I haven't seen you naked before" he have back, grinning teasingly at him
"I'm gonna go now with my daughter and we'll have breakfast... and daddy can have breakfast with himself" Meredith sighs, talking to herself , standing up and walking out of the room leaving Nick in their room.
Luna is a year and 3 months old, she's got a blonde hair and a green eyes just like her mom. She's got full milk teeth now and loves to bite or stuff teddies in her mouth leaving spit all over it so Meredith would have to toss it in the laundry machine at least three times a week. Luna is currently practicing on walking on her own,she can already crawl upstairs so Nick had to install a gate at the edge of their stairs so Luna won't be able to make crawl upstairs and roll down, they also had to install a child safe on every socket they have in the house, they had to put a foam at the edge of every counter they have.
Meredith has became a very protective and she can be over protective sometimes due to her trauma to having a miscarriage and the fear of losing another child she can't get off in her head. Nick has also became very protective and sensitive when it comes to Meredith when they found out she's pregnant with Luna, and aldo because Meredith had a hostile uterus that cause her to have a difficulty getting pregnant,and getting pregnant with Luna was probably the best accident that happened to them because they weren't really planning on getting pregnant until it just happened.
As soon as the word 'sensitive pregnancy' came out of Meredith OB's mouth, Nick immediately asked Bailey to give Meredith a parternity leave and told her about Meredith's pregnancy condition and of course she said yes.
As Meredith sat Luna on her high chair Nick came down walking towards the kitchen joining them.
"Your work starts tomorrow" Nick began as Meredith walked towards the fridge to take out some fruits to cut for Luna
"Are you nervous?"
"Why would I ve nervous?" Meredith then chuckled
"I mean... you were gone for almost 2 years" Nick pointed
"Y-yeah... I know but it should be fine" Meredith said, trying to assure herself
"It will be..." Nick added as he hugged her from behind
They both looked at their daughter who's giggling and blabbing 'words' since she can't really form a word other than 'mama' and 'dada' while playing with her stuff bunny bouncing it up and down as their lips formed a smile at the view of their daughter.
"I can't believe we almost lost her once" Nick sighs as his lips turned into a sad smile while he caress Meredith's abdomen missing her big baby bump
"Me too" Meredith replied, leaning against Nick's chest as she caress his hands
When Meredith was in her early months of her pregnancy, about 20 weeks of pregnancy she had a bleeding in the middle of the night which severely alarmed them,causing both of them to rush to the hospital at 2 am in the morning not caring about how they were dressed up and still in their pajamas.
The doctor explained that bleeding during early pregnancy is pretty normal and up to 25% of women experienced it. And bleeding or spotting don't always mean there's a problem, but it might be a sign for a miscarriage or other serous complications.
"I don't know what I'd do if we lose her" Meredith's continued as they were still eyeing their daughter.
"We won't... I promise" he replied, trying to assure his girlfriend
"You don't know that... the world is a scary place" Meredith sighs
"I know that but she have us... we will protect her" Nick response, trying to offer her some positivity knowing that Meredith is still freaked out sometimes when Luna got sick or somehow hurt she'd always take her to the doctor.
"She'll grow up, live her own life and leave us eventually" Meredith said again
"Stop!" Nick chuckled
"What? I'm just saying"
"We're not there yet, she's only one year old she can't even walk on her own yet" Nick added "And even if she leave us or grow up... she'll always be our baby"
"I want to have a son... back then" Meredith said "because boys are less hairy so I won't have to braid his hair when he goes to school,or teach him how to use a tampon" she added having her and Nick had to chuckle at her last sentence "But now... having Luna might be one of the best things that's happened to me" she added turning around to face him "And you... you and Luna are the best thing that's happened to me" she added smiling at him, feeling how her cheeks blushing at her own sentence
"Marry me... Meredith" he blurted out without thinking, his words came out of nowhere after hearing her words
"What?" she asked,as if she heard him wrong
"Marry me, Meredith" he repeated, more clear this time taking her hands into him squeezing it slightly as Nick was looking at her hopefully
"I...." she began,not sure what to say
Because of nervousness... she didn't answer and just kissed him, deeply,full of love and passionate.
"I-is that a yes?" he asked resting his forehead against hers
"Yes..yes.. I will marry you!" she answered, feeling small tears were rolling down her cheeks
