Time has flown by since dad's name got cleared. He gained ownership of his family's estate and everything they owned. Since the rest of the Black family was in Azkaban for being supporters of You-Know-Who, dad took over the upkeep of the hidden gem. Harry, Ron, and Hermione promised me they would stay out of trouble for at least the rest of this year. Fred and George could not make me the same promise. The trickster duo had a plethora of pranks planned for after winter break. My dad met up with Arthur and Molly to straighten things out and discuss mine and Percy's future (like they have any idea).
Percy and I are good. No, not good. We're great. With dad being out of Azkaban and approving of our relationship I finally have some sense of peace and happiness.
I'm sitting out on the pitch with the Ravenclaw quidditch team. The team was running the drills I gave them. They seem to be running it quite well and catching on. I notice Marcus Flint near the entrance of the pitch and stop the practice instantly.
"That's enough for today guys. Great job! You're all dismissed." The Ravenclaw team dismounted their Broomsticks and I go to meet Flint halfway.
"What do you want Flint? This is a closed practice."
"I need to speak with you Foxe."
"I'm listening."
"I need my first game moved up."
"Why?"
"Some of my guys have prior engagements that day."
"Game schedule was finalized 2 weeks ago. I can't change that now."
"Listen Foxe this appointment is life or death"
"If this appointment is so important then you need to forfeit the game."
"Is that the only option I have?"
"Yes. I discussed this schedule with every team captain. You should have said something at that time when we were setting up the schedule. Commitments should be kept and if they can't be kept then you need to do the responsible thing and forfeit."
"Come on Foxe you're not being fair."
"I'm the one not being fair? You're not being fair to the Hufflepuffs who have been working hard to face the Slytherin team. So it's either you play in 2 weeks or your forfeit the game and your chance at winning the quidditch cup." Marcus sighs angrily and stomps away from me like a toddler. I shrugged it off and grab my bag. I left the pitch and head toward the Great Hall for dinner. I go and sit next to Percy and eat in a daze. Trying to figure out why Marcus got so upset. He knows the rules. He knows that game schedule cannot be changed after it's finalized. Why would he ask to change it 2 weeks before the start of the season?
