Morgan:

The next morning Mom and I are in her car and driving to an unknown location. I was able to persuade Mom to drive herself. Even if she has agreed, she sits a bit anxiously in the passenger seat and always sucks in her breath sharply when a bend comes. After a 30-minute drive, I park the car in front of an imposing building. As soon as I step out, I recognize it.
"Why did we go to the Avengers headquarters?" I ask. But Mom doesn't answer me and drags me with her. Together we enter the big building. Still without a word, we wander through the corridors until we finally reach a cozy living area. It includes a built-in kitchen, a long dining table and several sofas and armchairs. A few people are sitting at the dining table, I only know very few of them, and fall silent as we enter. The tall blond guy, Steve Rogers, gets up and walks towards us.
"Pepper, how nice of you to come," he says kindly. Then his gaze wanders to me. "You must be Morgan, right?" he then says. I look questioningly at my mother, but she only looks at Steve.
"I think I'll introduce you to the rest of the Avengers," he says to me. "You know Clint. The woman next to him is Wanda Maximoff and her other seatmate is Vision. He's some kind of robot. And across from them sits Bruce, our Hulk, and next to him sits Sam and Thor.", Steve introduces them. While Wanda smiles softly at me, the men look at me rather neutrally. I don't know what to do or say. Finally stands Bruce, Hulk, get up and come to me.
"Nice to meet you. I'm sure you're wondering what this is all about. Now we want to give you a lesson." I look at the doctor, confused. Why would Mom let me intentionally put myself in danger? I give my mother a casual look, but she doesn't seem to notice. Or she skilfully ignores it.
"So what are you saying?" Wanda asks in a Russian accent. Even if she emphasizes some things differently, I can still understand her well.
"I don't know if..." I begin. But Thor interrupts me and says, "In case you don't know, your mother agreed. Otherwise you wouldn't be here!"
"Who else wouldn't be here?" a male voice asks at this moment and I wince when I recognize it. Even when I recognize Pieter, I turn around. He's in the room with Lila and Cooper. Lila immediately approaches me, beaming with joy.
"Morgan, how nice to see you! If I had known that you were coming, then....", but she doesn't get any further. The next moment, two more boys appear in the doorway.
"Tommy, Billy, are you serious?" asks Lila. I look at the boys in surprise.
"What are you looking at?" the first one, Tommy, asks me.
"Better pass, brother, this is Tony Stark's daughter. Morgan, right? I'm Billy," says the second. I'm assuming they're twins.
"What are you doing here?" asks Pieter. But I don't react to him and turn to Steve instead.
"What exactly should I train now?"
"Normally Natasha would take on such tasks, but unfortunately we have to do without her. Why will the rest of us take on this task. You're lucky, because you can train together with the other five.", Steve points with his chin at Lila and the boys .
"What?! You seriously want to teach her? She's not one of us Avengers! She's just the daughter of a deceased member!" Cooper counters. Lila glances at her older brother.
"Then it's good that you're not the son of a member." Tommy takes the answer out of my mouth. Lila also gives the impression that she wanted to say the same thing. I give Pieter an unnoticed sideways glance and wince. He's watching me very closely and I can imagine he's been doing it for a while. But I don't address it. It's none of their business. Should Pieter and I deal with it on our own. Surely Dad would have said that now. In order not to have to think about Pieter anymore, I take a closer look around. Everything seems to be perfectly coordinated. I'm only marginally aware of the ongoing conversation. Somehow I'm too taken by surprise to get anything right. All I can hear is Mom and Steve arguing vigorously. While the rest of us do nothing. To be on the safe side, I stay in the background and observe.

Two hours later I fall onto the blue exercise mat, moaning and drenched in sweat. Steve pestered me for what felt like an eternity. I just stay on the ground and don't mind that we have spectators.
"What is it? Are you giving up already?" Steve asks defiantly. He shakes my hand in a friendly way and helps me up. I get up thanks. I shake my head with difficulty.
"Says the one who hasn't done what feels like a million push-ups. And besides, I'm still a woman and..."
"...you can move just like us men!" he interrupts me. I'm just panting. Then I grab a cold water bottle and empty it in one gulp. Steve looks at me in surprise.
"Okay, maybe you really need a little breather," he tells me.
"And will you be training with us soon?" Lila asks a little later. After training, I took a shower, which is in abundance here, and washed off the pain and sweat for the first time. The tips of my hair are still dripping as I fall onto the sofa next to Lila.
"If you'll bear with me a little more." I say tiredly.
"Like you sooo done?!" comments Cooper. But I don't react to him and leave him alone. Instead, I dedicate myself to my girlfriend.
"You're right." I say lost in thought. Maybe I really should do more fitness.
