Kitty:

I look at the surprised faces of my former friends. And although there is a long time between our last meeting and this one, they haven't changed much.
"Storm, Star, Phoenix, Cyclops, Wolverine, Quicksilver how nice to see you again."
"What are you doing here?" Logan Scott's question again. But I just shake my head. Star, who has been silent until now and has been standing in the furthest corner of the room, approaches me.
"Kitty, nice to see you again. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised about your unexpected visit. But I'm glad you're doing well," she says. Although she smiles kindly at me, her smile doesn't reach her eyes. And Jean and Lilly also make an unusually quiet impression.
"Okay, what happened?" I ask.
"Nothing, what makes you think of that?" Lilly asks immediately. The boy standing next to her gives her an unreadable look. First I perceive him more consciously. I take a closer look at him and notice something. The boy looks a lot like Lilly, so I'm assuming it must be Lilly's son.
"We should go now!" Pieter repeats my own words. Vanessa throws a look at Pieter.
"I can't go, Mary...."
"Don't worry. You really should go. I'll stay here and take care of her," says Jean. She brushes a strand of red hair from her face. But the boy shakes his head.
"No, you should go with me. I'll stay with my cousin and watch out. You should all drive. You've taken care of Marry so far, haven't you? And even if something should happen, the professor is still here and besides, I can protect Marry too. After all, I've only learned from the best. Mom, Dad..." he turns to Lilly and Pieter. "...you don't have to worry either. I promise I won't cause any trouble and if there's anything wrong with Marry, I'll let you know."
"Are you really sure you want to do that, Charles?" Vanessa asks.
"Yes, Aunt!" says Charles simply. I just follow the conversation silently. It takes me a moment to realize that Storm and Pieter have a son. What else have I missed?
"So let's go," says Lilly. Before turning away, she pulls Charles into her arms.
"Mom, please! You're not going on a suicide mission or going to war. You'll only be gone for a few hours," he resists. And I have to smile.
"What did I actually miss?" I ask a little later. Together with the others, I stand in front of the jet, which is ready to take off. we wait for someone or something. I'm not sure about this. As Vanessa zips up her uniform, she answers: "You've missed a lot. I'd like to tell you everything, but we don't have time for that now and we should go." I nod and watch Storm fiddle with something.
"What's that supposed to be when it's finished?" Logan asks. But Lilly ignores him.
"Lilly, Vanessa flies you two or should I?" asks Jean.
"Lilly are already flying. Don't worry."
"The last time you said that, we almost fell." Bobby speaks up. He and Marie suddenly stand in the room. Marie recognizes me immediately and greets me warmly with a hug.
"Kitty, nice to see you. It's been a long time." I nod. But before she can reply, Marie turns to Bobby.
"Unlike you, Star and Storm can steer the jet. You couldn't even start the jet, honey." Bobby looks at her silently. Nobody says anything.
"I see you guys ready." A brunette walks in snowy. But he doesn't wear a uniform and doesn't seem to be able to keep up. With each step, her curls bounce slightly up and down.
"What about the students?" Jean asks the brunette.
"Don't worry, Charles and I can handle it," she assures.
"Maybe I should stay and keep you guys company Ashley," suggests Vanessa. The brunette-Ashley-looks at Vanessa, shaking her head.
"Everything's okay, don't worry. Come on! Get on your way now. I'll call attention to possible dangers in good time via radio," she assures. Then we get on the jet and while we buckle up Storm and Star launch the jet.
