The alliance between the X Men and the Avengers

An unexpected incident

Gamora:

Peter has been studying some maps for hours. He doesn't seem to notice anything. We're randomly wandering the galaxy. Or rather, Peter and I are wandering the galaxy at random. I switch to autopilot and go to him.
"Is everything okay?" I ask. He looks at me confused. I take a look at the cards. He still doesn't answer me.
"I know where to fly," he finally says. I hug him without a word.
"No matter what happened, it's over." I try to calm him down. He nods, but I know he doesn't really mean it. I'm about to say something more when the spaceship suddenly shakes.
"What was that?" I ask. But Peter already falls to the wheel and switches off the autopilot. He steers the spaceship with practiced movements.
"I think we're being attacked!" he says to me without looking at me. I immediately sit down next to him and automatically assume the role of co-pilot. Together we steer the spaceship. We try to avoid every rock fall, but it doesn't work as intended. Again and again we come into rough contact with some chunk.
"We have to make an emergency landing!" I say through clenched teeth and Peter just nods. While avoiding every imaginable obstacle, we try to avoid a crash landing. Without success. As we descend, many devices and instruments flash and sound. The lower we get to the ground, the more unpleasant the noise level becomes. But eventually we make it without further incident.
"What the hell was that?" I ask. I look around carefully. But only meet Peter's alert gaze.
"What is?"
"I'm not sure," he says tensely. I can see that he already has his suspicions.
"And what are you thinking about?"
"I don't know, but I suspect Thanos," he says, voicing my worst thought.
"And what do we do now?" I ask. he just looks at me
"We'll disappear and then go into hiding. Come on, the attack has stopped and we can fly again. We have to contact the others and let them know. Not that they'll get caught too," he says firmly. And we're going to do exactly what he said.
