Morgan:

I'm on my way to the prison with Marry and Charles. But instead of driving or walking, Charles grabs Marry's and my hands. And a moment later we are standing in front of the iron gates of the prison.
"How did you do that?" I ask amazed.
"That's my gift. I can teleport myself and others from one place to another."
"And what can you do, Mary?"
"I can see and influence people's dreams."
"It sounds great!"
"No, not really. Not when you have nightmares that feel real night after night," she says sadly.

Peter:

"Liliana, I'm really sorry," I say, entering our bedroom. My wife, standing at the window, turns to me.
"It's okay. You had to do it. Otherwise you probably wouldn't have done it," she says indulgently. And I pull her into my arms.
"Remember how you asked me why I chose you and I didn't have an answer?"
"Yes?!"
"Well, because I love you. And I know I have a crazy family. But I'm not ashamed of it. I just don't want anything to come between us."
"Neither do I, Pietro!" She says. And the way she says my name sends shivers down my spine.
"Hopefully our son comes back safe," she murmurs worriedly.
"Of course he will. What do you think? He has learned to defend himself very well and he will bring the girls back safely as well."
"How would you know?"
"Because he knows that otherwise you'll die of worry."
"That's not true." She defends herself weakly. Which only makes me smile.

Vanessa:

"I have good news and bad news," says Jean a little later. We are in the lab.
"First the good or first the bad?" she asks me.
"The bad and then the good." I say immediately.
"Well Marry will develop immunity to it over time. But the good thing is I was able to develop a serum for Marry."
"Wait a minute. Does that mean you found a cure for Clara?" my husband asks. But my cousin shakes her head.
"No, not a cure. However, a serum that should help her keep her power under control."
"You're saying that like our niece is a psychological wreck," Logan remarks. But Jean pays no further attention to him.
"Are there any side effects?" I ask quietly. I don't really want to hear the answer, but I need to know.
"That's the problem."
"Do you still have them all? You can't give our daughter drugs without full knowledge!" Scott railed.
"Darling, let it go. Jean is doing her best and just because she doesn't know about the possible side effects doesn't mean they exist."
"And what if maybe Daisy can't have children? And that's just because we didn't do anything about it?"
"Then she will survive it too.", Logan speaks up.
"For once, I have to agree with Logan. There are always pros and cons. But we can't let doubt and fear rule our lives." I agree with Logan.

Morgan:

I enter the prison with Marry and Charles.
"Well, let the fun begin then," Charles mumbles sarcastically after we've passed the entrance.
"How can I help you?" asks the officer behind the plexiglass pane. He sits bored at his desk and seems reluctant to stop reading the newspaper.
"We would like some information about a detainee." Charles goes to the pane.
"The passports!" he asks us gruffly. Without a word, we hand Charles our passports and get them under the window with his own.
"Marianne Summers; Charles Lensherr; Morgan Stark?!" he reads our names. Then he runs them through a scanning device or something.
"And who do you want to know about?"
"Erik Lensherr!" Charles replies immediately. While we get our passports back he looks at us doubtfully.
"I'm sorry, but we are only allowed to give information to relatives."
"As you have probably already noticed, Erik's grandson is standing in front of you.", Marry speaks up.
"Oh yes?"
"You just read his name out loud!" I join in now too. For a few minutes he just stares at us, but then he moves and turns his back on us. I exchange a questioning look with the other two. But before I can share my amazement, the officer turns back to us.
"Erik Magnus Lensherr was released a few hours ago," he says coldly.
"How released? I thought my grandpa was going to be in for a felony."
"Well, someone just paid the required bail," he says simply. And I have a feeling his patience is about to run out. Be careful when choosing a career!
"Can you tell us who paid this deposit?" Marry asks friendly. But this time the officer doesn't seem to be talking to himself.
"No, I'm not allowed to. For data protection reasons." That ends the conversation for him.
"Come on let's go." I say. Without a word of goodbye, we're getting out of there.
"You weren't very friendly," says Charles sourly.
"You weren't very friendly either." Marry says softly. The two engage in a silent battle until he finally gives up. His face automatically softens and his anger seems to have evaporated.
"Great. Now we're back to square one," I say, disappointed.
"I would not say that..."
