Two weeks had passed since the incident on the bus to Space Land. Your life seemed to go back to normal or mostly normal.

Something inside you changed substantially. It was something that you never thought could ever happen to you.

You were slowly falling for Light Yagami. You couldn't believe it to be true, but it was. One thing you definitely couldn't wrap your head around though, was if he had any ulterior motives. It just didn't make any sense to you. The flower? The breakfast? It genuinely made you question your sanity. Only an idiot would fall for that brown-haired boy.

You turned on the television to see breaking news.

Twelve FBI agents sent to investigate Kira have been found dead.

You were taken aback by this news.

Light had killed twelve innocent people...
You thought

You'd had enough of this. Taking a piece of paper from the death note, you walked to the police station. You didn't know what you were going to do but it had to be quick before anyone else got hurt.

The names and numbers flooded your vision once again as you walked through the city. As you opened the door to the police station, you realized how dumb you would sound. What would you even say?

You were about to walk away once more until you heard a woman's voice.

"Please let me speak with L, I have very important information on how they might be able to catch Kira"

You watched as the officers brushed her off, discouraging her.

You rushed in and got to the counter.

"Hey Y/N"
An officer said.

"Hi, Uhm.."
You replied not remembering his name.

"Aww what you don't remember me? You and chief Yagami's son helped solve a case last year",
He said sounding disappointed.

"I'm so sorry, I'm not good with faces".

How ironic...

You turned to the woman

"And you are?"
You asked her.

"Oh Uhm, my name is Shoko Maki"
You looked at her stupidly reading her name

She lied to you

"I can help you talk to L"
You lied back to her.

"My best friend Light Yagami's Father is Cheif Director Yagami of the NPA",
You said with a smile painted on your face.

What am I doing!?

"Really!? Can you truly help me talk to him?"
She questioned you excitedly

"Of course!"
You said reassuring a white lie.

"But first.."
You continued, walking her out of the police station.

"What is it you need from L",
You inquired.

"My Fiancee..."
She said.

"He was assigned to watch over the families of police officers".

"Two weeks ago his position was comprised and he was forced to reveal his identity".

You remembered the accident on the way to space land.

Raye Penber

"I think whoever he revealed his identity to is Kira",
She stated.

"Wow, that's an interesting theory".
You said.

"But that's not all..."
She continued

"That all happened during that bus-jacking incident. I think it was a setup. I think that man didn't die by accident. That suggests Kira can kill in more ways than a heart attack",
She stated confidently.

Your heart started racing. Even if you didn't help her talk to L, you were sure she'd find a way to eventually. They would know Light was Kira.

"Am I the only one who knows of your theory?"
You asked her curiously.

"Well, yes.."
She said.

"Can I take down your contact information and give it to the chief? I was on my way to his home to meet up with his son."
You asked her intently.

"Yes, please! That'd be wonderful".
She replied.

You pulled out a piece of paper from your pocket and asked her for a pen, which she gladly gave you. You asked her for her the info that she was impatiently waiting to give.

"Shoko Maki..."
You said aloud while writing.

Naomi Misora ridden with grief kills herself in such a way that her body will never be discovered.

Your heart jumped out of your chest but it was too late, the deed was done.

You knocked on the door to Light's House looking down at your feet. Your mind is filled with regret and anxiety.

"Y/N... What are you doing here?"
The brown-haired boy asked.

"Can I come in?"
You replied with another question. You heard the shinigami behind him laughing which made you cringe. This caught the boy's attention.

"Yeah come on..."
He took you upstairs to his room and locked the door behind you.

"You can see Ryuk?"
He asked aggressively

You only pulled out the paper you'd been hiding in your pocket. Handing it to the boy, you spoke quietly.

"I met a woman today..."
You said avoiding his question.

"I think she was the fiancee of Raye Penber".

"How do you know abou-"
You cut him off.

"I know... I've always known."
You said, a lump forming in your throat.

"But she knew too. She was going to find a way to tell L. I don't like the idea of killing the innocent, but I wasn't ready to lose you".
You said tearing up

"I'm a monster"
You finalized, tears rolling down your cheeks.

His eyes softened upon the view of your distress. You sat down on the bed as he stood in front of you. He lifted your face to look at him as he used his thumb to wipe the cold tears off of your face. He offered you a gentle smile and parted his lips to speak.

"You did amazing today Y/N",
He said putting the paper you gave him into his pocket.

"I'm so proud of you, together we can make this disgusting world a better place for good people like you...",
He continued

He brought his face down to yours and kissed yours, which was wet. You could feel the heat from his body radiating onto you.

"Besides, what's a God without his Goddess".
