Today, you decided to skip school. You walked to Light's house, which was empty at the moment. That wasn't a problem for you, though. You had Light give you his key, just for today. He had given you a list of times when his mother and sister would be gone, this was important. You couldn't let them see you in their house, especially now that he was "dating" Misa. 

You arrived at his home. Putting the key in the lock, you turned it, opening the door in front of you. You locked the door behind you, just in case anyone came home. Racing up stairs to Light's room, you tripped on a step. You picked yourself up and continued onward. When you got to his door, you removed both the pencil lead from the hinges and the paper in the crevice between the door and the wall. Entering the room, you slipped the rubber gloves you brought over your fingers.

You scanned the room quickly, but found what you needed even quicker. 

A singular blonde hair.

The blonde hair of a girl you hated seeing at your new job. The one of a girl who you knew was infatuated with your boyfriend and would love to steal him from you.  But she could never have him. At least not in the way you did. He was in love with you. He had never felt passion for anyone in his entire life. And then he met you. 

When he first met you he hated you. He couldn't stand being around you. But after getting to know you, he never wanted to leave your side. He craved you. He wouldn't be able to function without you. He needed you to be with him. No matter the cost.

You placed the hair in a ziplock baggie and put it in your hoodie pocket. You left out the same door you came and headed home. You entered your house and went straight for your tape recorder. You put another pair of gloves on before reaching for a new tape. 

Pressing the record button you stated, "I've decided to stop searching for Kira. And i'd like to thank the police department for all of its advice. However, I still plan to help Kira in his mission. And i hope that, in time, you will come to view me as an ally. I will start by punishing criminals Kira has yet to judge. Also, i will share my power with others who i feel are worthy and i will encourage them to do the same. Together we will make this world a better place".

You went to your computer and put the Kira filter and the voice effect on the tape. Placing the tape in the signature manila folder, you pulled out your plastic baggie. Placing the hair delicately in the folder, you began to seal it.

Light entered the Headquarters without you by his side.  

"Hello", He made his presence known.

"We just received a new video tape from the second kira" Ryuzaki told the young man.

Light stood there surprised. "Huh? Wow, that didn't take long".

"Yes. I believe it's the last one.", The detective said positively.

"Well take a look at this", He played your message.

Light watched intently. He wasn't with you while recording this time, so he had no clue what you had said. However, he did know how you would execute that plan of yours. L turned to light and opened his mouth to talk.

"After watching this, I can only say that i believe the first and second Kira have made contact".  

"What makes you say that?", Light asked knowingly.

"Oh, come on. Didn't you sense it? I was sure you would come to the same conclusion i did after watching this once through", He stated plainly.

"First, consider how determined he was to meet Kira. So, why the sudden change of heart? Now, he wants to punish criminals that Kira hasn't and all he wants is for Kira to see him as an ally? It begs the question, 'why didn't he do this to begin with'? I'm guessing thats because he never thought that far ahead. He probably met Kira and was told which criminals he'd be allowed to judge.  I suspect the purpose of this message is to hide the fact that they've met", He thoroughly explained to the boy standing next to him.
