He came back a few minutes later, and my god, he looked good. "Total boyfriend material," as y/f/n would say. "Here, I'll take your old clothes." I motioned for him to give them to me.

I hastily averted my eyes from his figure to keep from blushing and stuffed his things in the bin with my ex's stuff. "Are you okay," he questioned, "you seem frantic."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm good. You can sit over there." I pointed at the bean bag in the corner of my room.
He smirked and took a seat. It's like he could read my mind.

"So, uh, tell me about yourself."

He raised an eyebrow. "Well, my parents were killed when I was child - accused of being vampires, and rightfully so - so I was forced to live in that damned orphanage. Nobody wanted me, not even the kids there. They made my life a living hell. Constantly ridiculed me, made fun of me, even tried to hurt me. I was the outcast, and they made sure it stayed that way. Do you know what it feels like to be that unloved? Everyone I've ever known has feared me. It made me vengeful." he explained.

"So you turned to murdering everyone that had ever done you wrong? So nice of you."

"Tell me about it. And that's why I'm interested in you. You're not like them."

My eyes widened. He really just put it all out there, huh? "Thanks, I'm flattered! So, uh, you're not planning on killing me? Just wanted to make sure."

"I can't make any promises," he joked.

"Oh, shut up. Be honest."

"I promise I won't, m'lady. And if you wouldn't mind me asking, whose clothes are these? They don't seem like they'd be yours."

I pressed my lips together tightly and rolled my eyes. "They're my ex-boyfriend's," I began, "we broke up several months ago. He was a bitch. End of story."

Jake leaned forward and brought his elbows to rest on his knees - his face cupped in his hands, his eyes shining. "Ooo, a bit of drama I see. Such a shame. You know, I could treat you better if you let me."
