Chapter 20: Zaynie

Audriella's POV:

It's been months.

I have been at Luna's house for almost eight months now.

My father calls every day. I talk to him. He continues to tell me to take as long as I need. But I don't know how long it will take for me to fully accept this. I don't know if I ever will. He comes over periodically for me to sign some paperwork. But mostly he is giving me space.

Alice brought me clothes for me to use while I am here. She's also been coming over here every day after work. Luna and her get along amazingly, just like I thought they would. She has been officially accepted as a member of our friend group.

I have yet to see Zayn or Leo. I still text them every day. But I couldn't bring myself to see them just yet. They have respected that, and they both continue to go at the pace that I am comfortable with going.

It's nice, to have Zayn back in my life. I can finally breathe again. It's nice not having to hide talking to Leo anymore.

I walk into the kitchen to see Alice and Luna sitting at the counter. Both watching something on Alice's phone. I open the cabinets and pull out the sugar. Grabbing the ice from the freezer; and the creamer from the fridge. I open the drawer below the coffee pot and pull out the caramel drizzle. Before loading the reserve with water, and turning it on.

"Do you guys want one?" I asked, turning to face the girls.

"I want a mocha one" Luna speaks up, Alice just shakes her head no. Preferring caffeine in the form of the energy drink in front of her.

I turn and pull the chocolate sauce out as well as the whipped cream can from the fridge.

Pulling three cups out of the cabinet I load two of them with the respective drizzle, followed by the ice. In the third cup, I put the amount of creamer Luna likes and pour some chocolate sauce into it, giving it a mix and pouring it into her cup. I then pour coffee into the third cup, adding some chocolate sauce to that before stirring and pouring it into her cup as well. I top it off with her mocha-flavored whip and chocolate drizzle before pulling a metal straw out and handing them to her.

I turn back to the coffee pot and pour the creamer and remaining coffee into mine, following it up with some sugar. I give it a stir and plop a metal straw into the cup. Moving to my usual seat at the counter, I start scrolling through my phone.

"I think I'm going to see Leo and Zayn today," I spoke softly. Knowing the girls heard me when both of their heads shot up to look at me.

"Really?" Luna spoke, a small smile forming on her face.

"Yeah, maybe have them come here?" I said nodding. Deciding. "I'm gonna text them right now. Is that okay with you?" pulling out my phone Luna nods her head quickly with a smile, so I text them both creating a group chat.

Audreilla- Do you guys want to come over to Luna's?

Almost immediately, I get responses.

Luci- I'm on my way.

Leo- Coming now.

About 15 minutes later, there's a quick knock before someone opens the door and then closes it behind them. I look to Luna as if to say 'who just walks into someone's house?' but realize she's already standing and closing the blinds before heading towards the door.

I follow her and watch as she wraps her arms around Zayn. "Hi, Zaynie." She says with a smile.

Leo stands behind them, closing the door before meeting my eyes. He smiles; making his way over to me, and wrapping me in a hug. I wrap my arms around his waist, burying my face in his neck. "Hey, baby." He sighs, tightening his arms around me.
