Chapter 51: Switch

One Week Later
38 Weeks Pregnant

Audriella's POV:

We were currently laying in bed. Zayn, me, and Leo.

Zayn's been genuinely trying to fix this and make it work. He's been going to meetings, coming home, and doting on Lee. As if he's afraid he's going to leave again.

So now we are laying in the bed, me in the center. Zayn on my left side, his arm under my head, his fingers resting on Leo's shoulder. Leo is on the right of me, laying on his side facing us. Both of their hands were on my belly as we watched a movie on the TV.

Zayn's not paying much attention to the movie. He's mostly watching Leo and I. He keeps leaning over and kissing my head every now and then.

"We're gonna be parents soon. We're gonna have two little girls running around." He smiles rubbing my belly.

"Our princesses" Leo smiles at Zayn

"When are we announcing them?" I finally ask the question that's been at the back of my mind for the last few months. I've been home for 16 weeks. Four months. Things are just starting to feel right again.

"When do you want to, Miele?" Leo answers kissing the side of my head.

"I don't really know." I answer with a shrug, looking at Zayn "You guys know best. What do you think, Zee?"

"I don't know either. I want to wait until they are born and home and I want them settled in. Maybe a few weeks? Enough time for us to get this parenting thing under our belts a bit. Then we will announce you as the leader of the Moretti Clan, then we will announce our engagement and the birth of our babies. We will take it one thing at a time." He answers. As if he's thought about it over and over again, making sure it goes perfectly.

"What about Leo? Are we telling people about us? Because I don't want to hide this. I don't want to hide my feelings. Everyone already knows he and I are together. They think these babies are his. Which, they are, don't get me wrong these babies are as much his as they are mine and yours. But once we tell people that I'm with you and the babies are actually yours and are your heirs. They're gonna think everything between me and Lee was fake. I don't want that. I don't want him to have to hide. I don't care if you tell them you guys are together. I get that this is still new to you both. But I don't want to have to hide him" I spoke, turning to look at Leo.

"I don't want to hide it either, Tesoro" Leo sighed leaning his head against mine. Kissing it softly.

"You don't have to" Zayn assured. "Whether Leo and I go public or not, you guys can do whatever feels right between you two. Including telling people that you're also together." he shrugs, smiling sadly at Leo. He smiles sadly back at Zayn from beside me.

We silently go back to the movie, both of them cuddling around me, cocooning me in. Pretty shortly after I found myself falling asleep.

I woke a few hours later to clattering coming from the hall. I climb out of bed and make my way toward the sound.

"What are you guys doing?" I ask, walking into Leo's old room to see them taking apart his bed.

Leo turns to look at me. "We're turning the room into a nursery for you. We already have the two bassinets and everything for our room. But they'll need their own room eventually. So we are turning this into their playroom/nursery. Once they're older we can also turn the office up here into a room for one of them. I leaned back against the door frame watching them work.

Leo is shirtless, and Zayn has a t-shirt on, but they are both in sweatpants that hang low on their hips.

Eventually, the bed is taken apart and put into a pile by the door.
