Chapter 54: All Hail The Queen

38 Weeks Pregnant

Audriella's POV:

There are tons of people going in and out of the mansion in front of me. The Crimson Serpent's main house. Some take notice of me immediately. Leo puts his hand on my lower back, stepping closer to me, making me tense beside him as I look around.

I feel his breath on my neck as he leans down to my ear. "You're safe, I just want to be near you." He whispers, I instantly relax, nodding and stepping back closer to him.

Zayn glances at us, his eyes are dark and he's shut off. He simply meets Leo's eyes before turning and heading in, we follow a few steps behind him. Once we are inside, Daniel and Alice walk up to us.

"Everything is set up and ready," Alice spoke first, looking at Zayn. She looks at me, smiles, and pulls me into a hug.

"I hate that he has to do this," she whispers in my ear, still smiling, making it seem like she isn't bothered by it.

"I know" I smile back, squeezing my arms around her before pulling back.

Daniel speaks next, he's also shut off "Everyone is already talking about the 'pregnant girl who showed up with the devils'" He states looking from Zayn to Leo.

"They think it's mine?" Leo asks, looking around.

"Yep," Daniel states, monotonously.

"Okay." Leo shrugs, pulling me closer, kissing my open shoulder and neck before putting his arm around my waist as we walk around. Zayn trails behind us, keeping his distance but staying close enough to still hear our conversations.

I look around again and see that many people are looking between me and Leo. Pure shock on their faces as he openly shows emotion and affection toward me. Leo doesn't seem to mind as he occasionally kisses the side of my head in between talking to some members of his crew.

Grace walks over to us next, grabbing my hand, and pulling me away from Leo; who scowls in protest. "Oh, shush. We are going to get food. You go do all your rounds with Zayn. She's with us, she'll be fine, Leo." She scowls back, as she turns and pushes Alice towards the next room, dragging me behind her. I just chuckle and mouth an 'I love you' to Leo, looking at Zayn as well who just nods subtly, Leo smiles though and mouths it back before turning to follow Zayn in the opposite direction.

Daniel is also following us, staying one step behind me now that Leo isn't at my side. We get some food then go sit at a table off to the side. My father comes and joins us, sitting next to me. Alice is on the other side of me followed by Grace and then Daniel at the end.

"Hey, papa!" I smile leaning over and kissing his cheek. He smiles at me quickly before returning to his straight face. "I've never seen you guys in a setting like this. All the straight, uncaring faces are so different than what I'm used to." I sigh, turning to look at Alice who just smiles at me.

"The guys are weird. They think showing emotion shows weakness." She chuckles, I look around the room and see that she's right, almost all of the men aren't showing any emotion. It's freaky.

I notice a woman wearing a simple black pantsuit in the doorway to the kitchen. She has brown hair with bright red streaks. She sends me a small smile. I watch as she turns and talks to an older woman, with brown hair. The younger girl says something before the older woman turns and looks at me. She pauses for a second before a small smile forms on her lips. The younger girl, presumably her daughter, smiles and pats the older woman on the back before heading back into the kitchen.

I turn back to the table and see that nothing has really changed. Alice and Grace are still talking. My dad and Daniel are still watching the room, looking out for anyone acting out. I look around and notice Zayn talking to the older woman from earlier. He's relaxed and a smile is on the woman's face as she talks to him. He nods as he talks to her. The woman glances back at me and her smile grows as she looks at Zayn. She nods, reaching out and touching his arm before she walks away and into the kitchen where her daughter went previously.
