The Next Day

37 Weeks Pregnant
Jess: 16 Weeks Pregnant

Zayn's POV:

I pace around the bedroom. Unable to stop thinking about what Jess told me.

Audrey, Alice, Luna, and Daniel, are currently out at the store getting some stuff for the babies. Leo and I are home alone. I have to talk to him about this. I keep meaning to but we're never alone and I don't want to bring Audrey into it unless it's true and I have to.

I keep pacing, pulling at my hair having no idea what to do.

Leo walks in at potentially the worst time and locks eyes with me.

"Luci?" He asks walking up to me. He pulls my hands out of my hair and holds my wrists. "What's wrong, baby?"

I stare at him for a while, biting my lip before opening my mouth to speak

"I need to ask you something and I know that it's going to sound like I'm bringing this shit up again but I'm not. I promise you that I'm not." I quickly explain, holding eye contact with him.

He nods holding eye contact "What's wrong, Zayn? You're freaking out." He asks clear concern showing through his eyes.

"Have you talked to Jess? At all?" I ask holding his hips in a tight grip.

"What? No. Not at all. Not since we had sex, Zayn. I don't want to see her. I told you this already. I swear to you I haven't." He quickly defends and I close my eyes, pained. I shake my head meeting his eyes again.

"I know, Lee that's not why I'm asking. I'm not even asking if you've seen her. Just talked to her. Has she tried to get ahold of you at all? Tell you anything? Anything important, that you might want to share?" I ask biting my lip again.

He shakes his head furrowing his eyebrows. "No, Zayn? Why? What's going on?" He asks genuine concern and confusion showing in his eyes.

I take a deep breath leaning my forehead against his "I love you. I need you to know that. I love you and this doesn't change anything; if it's true we can figure it out and I promise you it changes nothing. I still want you here, I want you to be with me, with Audrey. I love you and that isn't changing. Okay?" I press, and he just nods holding the sides of my neck with his hands, rubbing his thumbs up and down the sides.

I take another deep breath and continue "I saw Jess a bit ago. I noticed her walking down the street and it was after you left; I was so upset and I just wanted to hear her admit it. I wanted her to admit that it happened. I was tired of her lying to me and dodging the question any time I asked." I start, Leo nods keeping his confused look on me, still rubbing his thumbs on my neck.

"She said a bunch of shit about Audrey not being fit to lead and shit, just pissed because I told her she wasn't being reactivated. When I went to leave..." I trail off.

"Zee, what happened? What did she do?" He asks slight anger showing in his eyes.

"She's pregnant. Lee. 16 weeks. She has a baby bump, it's small, but it's clearly there. She says it's yours. She said she's pregnant with your fix-it baby." I nearly whimper. Tightening my hold on his hips.

Leo's eyes widen and he shakes his head "There's no way. She has to be lying. I was so careful. There's no way it's mine. She's lying. She's trying to push a wedge between us again. I don't care what she says, Zayn. Her baby is not mine." He quickly denies it.

"She also said a bunch of shit about how you'll leave us for her and the baby because her baby is yours and Audrey's babies aren't. That if you have to choose you'll choose her. Leo, what if by some miracle it is yours? She's going to make you choose, Lee. What if..." I spew, starting to panic again
