They worked diligently over the next few days. Since there had been no hiccups, they were ahead of schedule. That meant that they had time to come together as a family, and take their mind of the looming deadline for a little while. Minho and Chan suggested a home made dinner followed by movie night, and everyone was looking forward to it. As usual Minho was in charge of cooking, but he appointed Changbin, Jisung and I.N to help him out. He still hadn't given up on teaching them how to cook properly.
Inside Hyunjin's room, the long haired turned so he was facing Felix. "Is this what you want?" The younger looked up and nodded. "I don't agree with you", Hyunjin said with a soft voice. "I know, Jinnie. And in the end I guess it's up to you." Hyunjin smirked. "I guess it is. I'll decide later. Dinner is getting ready, and I don't want to get in trouble with Minho hyung. Let's go."
When they left Hyunjin's room, the other members were getting seated around the dinner table. "I need to wash my hands. Don't wait for me," Hyunjin said as he left for the nearest bathroom. Felix saw three empty chairs, but Hyunjin's hoodie was draped over one of them. That left him with two options; the seat between Jisung and Chan or the seat between I.N and Changbin, closest to the kitchen. He wanted to sit next to his best friend, but it was too close to Chan. He briefly wondered who of them had sat down first. Had Chan sat down with a free seat between him and Jisung, hoping that Felix would sit between them? Or was Jisung trying to meddle? He decided it didn't matter and promptly sat down next to Changbin and I.N with a small huff.
"Felix, could you please swap seats with me," Minho called out from the kitchen. He was filling a mug with cold water. "I'm probably going to go back an forth a bit, and would like to be closer to the kitchen." Felix couldn't think of a reason to refuse such a reasonable request, so he just stood up and walk over the other side of the table where is best friend was waiting. As soon as he sat down, Jisung leaned over and whispered in his ear. "Did you hear that? Minmin said please. He must be in a good mood this evening. Now he's even grinning. Maybe tonight is the right time to bring up that thing I told you about?" Felix let out a startled yelp. "Oh God, why did I ever let you tell me about that?" Jisung chuckled. "Look, all I'm saying is that if he likes to play with his cats that much, maybe he will enjoy seeing me..." "Shut up. Shut up!" Felix whispered desperately with his jaw clenched. "What if someone hears you?" Jisung straightened up and looked at his best friend with a teasing smile, and a raised eyebrow. "Meow!"
Chan hadn't heard what the two whispered about, but everybody at the table heard Jisung's meowing. The twins started to giggle like crazy. "Oh, so we actually have two maniacs among us," Seungmin noted dryly. "I wonder who will be the next to succumb to the madness." He looked at Hyunjin who was finally taking his seat, making their numbers complete. "Whoever it is, they don't have to do it while hungry," Changbin stated, proud of the food he had helped prepare. "We will eat well," Minho said and they all chimed in. "Jal mug get sum ni da!"
During the meal Chan and Felix didn't speak to each other unless Chan was offering Felix food. The elder was constantly picking out the best pieces of grilled meat, or other treats and presenting them to the younger. Chan wanted to take care of Felix and make sure he had everything he needed. And in his opinion Felix didn't just deserve to have his needs met – Felix deserved the best. The love he felt was also laced with desire. Every time Felix leaned forward and opened his mouth so Chan could put the food in his mouth, he felt himself twitch. It was intimate and sensual, watching the younger part his shiny, wet lips like that. To see Felix open up for him. He remembered how it had felt when those lips were on his collarbone. When those lips had been trailing down his stomach. Chan felt himself go hard thinking about what could have happened that night.
Felix had been willing – he had been the instigator. Chan couldn't regret stopping him, even though that had hurt Felix. It had been the right thing to do. But what about now? What if he talked to Felix, like Minho had suggested? He had said the members wouldn't mind them being together.
The thought of the possible complications killed his hard on, making it possible for him to follow the others into the living room when they had finished their meal. He knew the members good enough to know that someone would have made a pointed remark about his huge bulge. Someone always did. Like if he could help his size.
Minsung claimed the love seat like they always did. The rest tried to get a seat in the sofa, preferring that to the big pillows on the floor. I.N rejected Hyunjin's offer to sit on his lap, and took a pillow with a small pout. Hyunjin turned slightly and Felix expected the elder to give him the same offer, but the long haired just smiled at him before turning back. "You know what, Inni? I think I will join you on the floor. Scoot over." Since they could comfortably fit four people in the sofa, everyone now had a place to sit. And by some twist of fate, Felix found himself between Changbin and Chan. Suddenly the sofa didn't feel so comfortable anymore.
