Nagisa POV

When I saw Karma at the door I began to think of ways to get rid of him. "Uhh Uhh, Karma! I just didn't feel good so I came home," I lied. He looked at me suspiciously. "Are you sure? You can tell me anything. You know that right?"

I nodded violently trying to close the door. He put his hand on it blocking it from closing. "Nagisa. What are you hiding?" he asked me forcefully. I bit back a gasp and answered, "Nothing! I just don't feel good!"

I noticed that I yelled that and I immediately put my hand over my mouth. This provoked him to come inside. I tried to get him to leave but he wouldn't listen. He began to walk to my room and I tried to pull him back. My strength was nothing compared to his.

He continued walking until he opened my door. He looked around confused. "Is this your room?" he asked without looking at me. I hesitated but answered yes. He scoffed. I was confused. Suddenly he scooped me up into a bridal hold and began to walk back to the door.

"Karma! Let me down! Now!" I screamed struggling under his grip. This went on until we got to the door. "LET ME DOWN!" I hissed at him. He looked at me utterly terrified.

Karma POV

I looked at him terrified. His eyes had become slit and bright orange but that wasn't what scared me. It was his bloodlust. There was so much of it. I dropped him trying to step back. He caught himself just in time. He stared at me.

I am not gonna lie. He was horrifying. Then his eyes turned back to his normal blue color and his pupils became round again. I backed away again. Then my terror was gone. His bloodlust was gone. Then I saw his eyes begin to tear up.

I walked over to him pulling him into a warm embrace. He sobbed into my shoulder as I tried to calm him down. "Shh. It's ok. You're ok." I said trying to comfort him.

He looked up at me. "I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me!" he sobbed. This made my heart stop. 'I don't know what came over me' What did he mean by that?

"What happened?" I asked him quietly trying not to provoke him. He sniffled. "I-I don't know. I was in my favorite tree and suddenly a little s-snake bit my neck. I couldn't breathe and then everything went dark. But it stopped after a minute. I panicked and ran here."

I was trying to get ahold of my brain jumping to conclusions. A snake? Why didn't he call for help? Does he not trust me? All these thoughts were running around in my head but I shut them out. I hugged him again real quick and stood back up. Holding my hand out for him to grab it. He did so hesitantly.
