Chapter 6

Karma POV

I heard screaming as I was walking away from Nagisa's house. I immediately turned around and started to run back to the house. I called the police as I did.

They got there really fast. I think they saw me running to the address they were going. "Get in!" a police officer yelled pointing to the back. I nodded and ran up to it. They started to drive off when I opened the door.

I got in quickly calling Nagisa's phone over and over but there was no answer. As soon as the police car pulled over at his house I ran to the door the policeman right behind me. I slammed into the door but it wouldn't budge. The police officer hit it with his foot and it burst open.

He ran in and grabbed the woman attacking Nagisa and dragged her to the police car. "I'll kill you! Husband killer!" she screamed at Nagisa. I looked at Nagisa who was slowly sliding down the wall losing consciousness.

I grabbed him and started to run out the door to the hospital but the police officer stood in front of the door. "Let me through! He needs to get to a hospital!" I yelled as I tried to push him out of the way.

"How do I know you aren't gonna kidnap him?! Get in the other car!" he yelled at me leaving me shocked. But I obeyed and ran to the police car that had followed us. I put Nagisa in the back seat and I got in behind him, cradling his head in my lap.

He's pale. Too pale. I was crying but not realizing it. When we got to the hospital I got out holding Nagisa. The police officer tried to grab him but I turned away.

"No. I'll take him in." I said against my better judgment. He nodded and we quickly ran in. He was screaming for a nurse and soon four nurses came out. When they saw Nagisa they all gasped and told us to follow them as they ran to a hospital bed.

Once I laid him down on the bed they immediately took him into surgery. I had to sit and wait for hours on end. Ok, maybe a little dramatic but I did sit there for about 2 hours until they told me that I could come in.

I saw his limp body on the bed and I sat down next to him holding his hand. I was tired and I soon nodded off.

Time Skip

Nagisa POV

I felt a hand on mine. I tried to pry my eyes open but they wouldn't. I wanted to speak but it was no use. I couldn't do anything. All I could do was stare into the dark abyss of my mind.

"Karma!" I screamed into the blackness. It only echoed. Then a heard a voice behind me. I turned around and saw my mother. "Looks like you gonna get what you deserve!" she said.

"Please! No! I'm sorry! I'll be your good little girl!" I yelled, crying as I pleaded with her not to hurt me. Then, she put a knife to my throat, slicing it.
