A snake's tale: Karmagisa series

Chapter 9

Karma POV

I groaned as I desperately tried to turn off my alarm. I moved my hand around the top of my little drawer trying to find my phone. Finally, I felt its cold touch against my hand and I picked it up. It was 7:30.

I am not a morning person. As I turned around on my bed I smelled something. I sniffed the air. Oh, it smelled so good! I got up completely forgetting that I was in my boxers.

I almost ran down my stairs to see what smelled so good. I saw Nagisa making some eggs and bacon. Mmm, my favorite. I walked over to my bar looking the kitchen window and sat down on my stool.

It seemed like Nagisa was a bit surprised to see me. He turned around and jumped a bit. "Jeez Karma. You couldn't have said anything?!" he said steadying himself.

"Well, I didn't want to interrupt your cooking," I said smirking. He rolled his eyes and handed me a plate. It looked so good. "I thought I make us some breakfast," he said as he sat down next to me.

I picked up my fork and began to cut the eggs into smaller pieces. When the egg touched my mouth it almost felt like it was melting into my taste buds. "Wow nagi. I didn't that you of all people knew how to cook so well." I teased him.

"Me of all people? How rude." he looked away putting on his pout face. "You know what I meant," I said chuckling. He looked back over at me and smiled.

Nagisa POV

God, I wish I could tell him how I feel. He has the cutest smirk. Damn. I got snapped out of my thoughts. He snapped in front of my face. "Nagisa?" You good?" I nodded smiling. "You sure?" he asked me again. I just nodded saying, "Yea I'm fine." He didn't look convinced but he let it go.

We sat in silence as we finished our food. I got up quickly when I was done and went to put my dish in the sink. I'll wash it after school. I was still in my pajamas so I went to change. I quickly went into my room and unpacked some of my clothes.

I sighed. "I need new clothes. I'll go to the store later today and buy some." I said to myself as I checked my suitcase for some money. I heard a knock at the door and my door opened.

"Hey, Nagisa you got everything you need?" he asked. I turned around. "Oh. Yea I'm fine. I'm gonna go to the store for some new clothes after school." I said quickly. "Oh do you need some money?" he said. "No no. I'm fine. I have some. You don't need a burden like me to keep asking you for money," I told him.

"Nagisa," he began. "You'll never be a burden to me," he said. Then he pulled out 10000 yen and handed it to me. I was surprised but I took it anyway. He smiled warmly and left the room. I stood there for a moment taking in his smile.

So yall. I will post about 3 or 4 more chapters today instead of this weekend because I am going on a camping trip. I promise I'll be back on Sunday to see the updates on it. Also thank you for the 30 reads! It makes me feel good! Love yall!
