A snake's tale: Karmagisa series

Chapter 14

3RD POV

As Nagisa and his mom and dad and boyfriend hug him so many thoughts are going through his head.

Why aren't they hitting me? I should be in trouble. This hug is nice. These are only a few. He softly chuckled as he began to stand up.

He looked back at his now-dead mother and began to feel guilty. He felt a pair of hands on his cheeks. "You did what you had to do. Don't feel guilty. You know that she deserved it."

He looked up to see Karma looking at him intently.

Nagisa POV

I held Karma's hands which were on my face and smiled. I looked over and saw the wound that he had on his arm. I wanted to help him so badly. He must have seen me looking at it when he said, "I'm ok. I'll go to the nurse's office. But you also need to." I sighed and nodded. We began to walk back to our classroom.

He couldn't help but think about what his mother had said to him. "These scales chose the right person! Your a disgrace just like these! No wonder that stupid snake chose you!

What did she mean by the snake choosing him? What did she know? I shook it off and continued to walk between Irina and Karma.

"Hey, Okasan? I think I'll stay at our house for a while," I said suddenly. Irina smiled and nodded at me.

After we were checked at the nurse's office I got some wrap for my hand and Karma got a sling for his arm. I was walking to my family's house with Karma and we began to talk. "Hey, Nagisa?" he asked. I hummed in response.

"Will you visit every day?" I smiled. "Of course, I will. I thought you knew me better than that," I teased. He chuckled. Suddenly I felt his hand around my waist. I leaned my head against his chest as we walked.

We got to my new house and I waved goodbye to him starting to walk inside. Then I felt myself get turned around and suddenly his lips pushed into mine making my stomach flutter.

He smirked and I laughed walking inside. I saw Karasuma and Irina sitting on their jade-colored couch. I found my room and set my stuff down. I decided to go back downstairs and sit next to them.

It felt nice to feel this kind of love again. The family kind of love. I felt Irina kiss the top of my head. I smiled. "You should get some rest. You still have school tomorrow." I heard Karasuma tease. I scoffed jokingly as I got up.

I walked up to my room and lay down on my bed. My eyes began to flutter close but my mind still couldn't get my mother's words out of my head.

"The snake chose you..."
