Karma POV
I was in a dark space. The only light was in the distance. It had a figure in it. I started running toward it. I stopped abruptly. Nagisa was standing there bloody. Some of his scales on the ground burnt to a crisp.
Before my eyes a giant boulder came crashing down on him. I screamed as I woke up. I panted as I sat up on my bed. Sighing, I walked down into my kitchen to make some coffee.
"It was just a dream. Just a dream. It's not real. Nagisa is fine," I told myself constantly. I decided to pick up my phone and call him.
"Hey, is there something wrong love?"
"No. Just wanted to check up darling."
"Ok well I'm fine. You should get some sleep. Do you want me to come over?"
"No babe it's ok. I'm fine. You get the rest of your sleep." Of course I want him to come over but he doesn't need the burden of my fear. I have to deal with that on my own.
"Ok. Love you. See you tomorrow at school." Then he hung up. I sighed and sat down on my couch. "Argh! Why won't my fear go away!" I yelled at myself.
I groaned and laid back down. Slowly drifting off into a deep sleep.
Nagisa POV
I woke up to my phone ringing. I answered it and it was Karma. We had a pretty short conversation. I was a bit worried because he doesn't usually call in the middle of the night.
"I hope you're ok," I said to myself. Then I fell back asleep. It didn't even feel like I got a wink of sleep as I opened my eyes to my screeching alarm.
Ohh. I guess I get to find out if Karma is ok. I quickly got dressed and ran to school. I was first as usual but it didn't take long for Karma to show up. I stood up and gave him a quick kiss.
"You ok love?" I asked. "Yea I'm fine now that you're here," he answered. I knew he was lying so I pressed on. "You know you can tell me anything right?" I said.
"Of course! It was just a bad dream last night. That's all," he said quickly. I looked at him with a 'I know when somethings wrong so tell me' face.
He sighed. "Well, I've just been having some nightmares of you dying. It's been going on for a while now and I don't know why," he said, defeated.
I smiled and kissed him. "Get a room for you two!" I heard Kayano tease. I rolled my eyes and we went to the infirmary. Let me tell you that I still hadn't gotten control over my venom yet.
We continued to kiss but then one of my fangs bit into Karma's bottom lip. He winced as he backed away. "I'm fine," he said right before he fell to the ground. I screamed as Karasuma, Irina, and Korosensei came running in.
"What happened?!" Karasuma yelled, putting Karma on the bed.
"I don't know?! We kissed then one of my fangs accidentally bit into his lip. I think I poisoned him!" I yelled crying.
"If you did poison him then I can save him with your venom. Quickly bite into this sponge!" Korosensei said quickly. I did as he said and bit into it. I felt venom flowing from my fangs into the sponge. When he took it and began making that antidote I ran out, crying.
Karma POV
I woke up with a jerk. I yelled Nagisa's name but I only saw Karasuma, Irina, and Korosensei.
"He's fine. You should be worried about yourself," Irina said. I got up quickly and started running off to find Nagisa.
Nagisa POV
I ran out and went to my tree. I knew Karma would find me here though so I decided to head home after a minute. I finally got to my house and I slammed my door.
I picked up my phone and called Karasuma.
"Hey dad? Could you come home for a minute I want to talk to you about something."
"Sure I'll be in about 10 minutes."
"Thanks see you soon. Bye." I hung up and laid on my bed hands on my face. God this is all my fault. Karma shouldn't have even met me. He wouldn't be in this situation! I nearly killed him!
Finally I heard the door open so I ran down to talk to my dad. But instead it was Karma. I closed my eyes and ran back into my room. I heard him run after me but I shut my door and locked it before he could come in.
"Nagisa please open the door," he said calmly. "NO! I could hurt you again! I won't do that!" I screamed, crying. "It was an accident. I know you would never do that on purpose. Please open the door."
"No. Just leave. All I have ever done is be a burden to you! You deserv better! Just leave!" I yelled sobbing into my hands. I heard the lock pick and I ran to lock it again.
"Nagisa open this door." I heard Karasuma say. I sighed and opened it. Karasuma stood there staring at me. You have every right to be disappointed. I'm sorry Karma.
Karma tried to hug me but I pushed him away. "Karma...don't make this harder. Just leave. You're better off without me." I said solemnly. I heard him slowly back away.
"Dad. I need you to do something for me," I began to say. "Are you sure you want this?" he asked me again. I nodded.
"Ok I'll get him tomorrow and we can do it," he answered. I nodded and closed my door. I laid down on my bed and sobbed.
