Roy Mustang, sat in his home office looking over his paperwork.

"Jeeze,  I think this job is making me lose my hair," he sighed.

"Well, you didn't expect being Führer to be easy." Smiled the Führer's assistant Lieutenant General Riza Mustang. Who just also happened to be the his wife.

"You want me to make you some tea?" She asked, leaning against the thresh hold.

"Yes, please." He smiled running his fingers through his course black hair.

Riza ran through the house to the kitchen. She hadn't yet changed out of her uniform but her jacket and her guns were in her bedroom. She only taken out the kettle when she heard someone behind her.

"Please don't shoot, give me a minute to speak? I mean you no harm." Riza's heart stopped, she knew that voice. She grabbed a knife out of the block and held it in front of her.

"What are you doing here?" Riza hissed.

"No please, I need to talk to you. I'm not here to hurt you." Said a very paniced woman her face shaded in waist long wavey raven hair.  in front of Riza stood the very homunculus that nearly killed her husband.

"Why should I trust you?" Riza challenged holding her knife unsteadily toward Lust. Riza knew she could have easily sliced through her knife as well as her in one swipe with her ultimate spear. The thing bothering her was why hadn't she?

"Hawkeye, please just hear what I have to say." Lust pleaded.

"Fine but we do this on my terms, and it's not Hawkeye anymore!" Riza added before moving into the living room.

"Allright, I'll do what ever you ask," she agreed holding her hands up in surrender following Riza into the living room.

                                               Roy

Riza had been gone awhile. He thought. He again ran his left hand through his thick hair.

"Roy, is that a wedding ring I see! So you took my advice and looky here you're finally on top! So tell me who's the lucky lady?" Roy's ears betrayed him. He turned to see his best friend as he stood beaming in the doorway. his best friend who had died in a phone booth more than a decade ago.

"Who are you?" He questioned shocked.

"You forgot who I am already, its only been 11 years." Hughes's face grew white. "11 years? I've missed 11 of Alisia's birthdays! What is she now 14?"

Roy sighed. "Hughes you want to tell me whats going on?" Roy asked knowing that only the real Maes Hughes could be standing in front of him.

Hughes was about to open his mouth when they heard a loud crash from rooms away. Roy quickly grabbed his gloves off of his desk and ran toward the sound. Hughes followed closely behind. Before they could make it to the stairs a familiar someone blocked their path.

"I'd be lying if I said I was happy to see you again, but everyone agreed that we couldn't find a way to stop it alone." Envy rolled his eyes and looked to the surprised faces of Hughes and Mustang.

"I'm not sure how you or Hughes are here but I do know I'd sleep a lot easier if you weren't." Roy glared tugging on his glove.

"Now, now, calm down I'm not here to hurt you!" Envy asured. Roy looked back at his friend and remembered how it had felt to find him dead in a phone booth. Or how Alisia had cried when they burried him.

"And for some reason your track record doesn't justify your statement." Mustang clapped his hands and readied himself to snap his fingers.

"Daddy, what are you doing," asked a groggy 4 year old with short wispy black hair and wide innocent brown eyes. Eyes that had torn through Roy since he was a very young man.

"Daddy why is that guy dressed like a lady?" She asked sucking her thrumb.

Envy glared at the human girl and tried to control his anger. Roy and Hughes tried to stifle a laugh.

"He's just someone daddy works with. Why don't you go with Mr. Hughes while I talk to him." He grinned bending down to kiss the girl on the head.

"Hi you can just call me Hughes, what's your name?" Hughes asked holding his hand out for her to take.

"Christine," she answers taking Hughes's hand.

"Aw that's a pretty name." He smiled leading the little girl away.

"So the colonel went and got himself a family," Envy beamed.

"Shut up homunculus unless you want me to burn off your tongue again." Roy glared.

"Roy!" Riza called running toward him.

"What is it?" Roy asked alarmed by his wife's tone.

Riza gasped when she saw Envy. "I was going to say we had a problem downstairs but I see you have one all your own." She said.

"Are our problems related in any way?" Roy sighed.

     "I'm afraid so." Riza frowned.

"Alright who are we looking at here." Roy asked.

"Lust was assigned to get Hawkeye. So my bet's on Lust." Envy sighed.

"Do you homunculi have a death wish." Roy sighs leading Envy to the living room.

"Riza, call my subordinates and tell them it's urgent." Roy asked as he passed her.

She nodded and headed to Roy's office to call Central HQ.

When Mustang arived in the kitchen he found Lust blind folded with each of her intividual fingers tied securely to a chair. There was a large rifle sitting on a stand pointed at the chair. Roy pulled up another chair next and motioned for Envy to sit.

"What you're not going to tie me up too?" He asked pompously.

"The only thing I have to worry about with you is your mouth." Roy smircked.

Envy scowled, narrowing his eyes at Roy before crossing his arms and taking his seat next to Lust.

"Now you're going to tell me why you're here," Roy explained icily pulling up a chair for himself.

"We're here to gather you, the Elric brothers, and the annoying foreginer together so we don't all die?" Envy snarled gripping the arms of his chair.

"What do you mean before we all die! And why do you want all of us together?" Roy questioned.

"The keeper of the gate had grown bored. So he opened the gate. The gate keeper had an interest in familiar faces." Lust started.

"Wait when you say familiar faces do you mean the people who have passed through the gate?" Roy asked curiously.

"Yes that's exactly what I mean. So the gate keeper let out the one person that the five sacrifices missed most. But also anyone with knolegde of Father received someone as well. The problem is when the gate keeper opened the gate an awful created was released onto your world and in needing someone to turn to a furious Truth let us out and told us to gather you because only the ones strong enough to defeat Father could handle a task this challenging."

"What is this creature that was released on us?" Roy asked.

"We don't know exactly. Everything happened so fast." Lust informed.

"What about Major General Armstrong, Izumi Curtis, and Scar? Are you planning on recruiting them as well?" Roy asked.

"Yes they are cruicial to defeating this creature." Lust answered.

"So why do you care about saving our world?" Roy asked.

"Because if we stop this thing we don't have to go back through the gate." Envy grinned.
