Xiùlán stood in the palace garden and sensed the shifting winds around her. Something bad was coming, she could feel it. In the distance there was a rustle in the sand. A bright light erupted from the ground and raised up to the sky.
This she would have to investigate. She quickly reached the burst of light. The beam of light disintegrated and left multiple figures in its wake. She ducked low behind a small sand dune and observed the trespassers.
There were six foreigners standing there. One man had long black hair tied at the nape of his neck in a white suit. Next to him was a blonde man with a blonde braid and western style clothing. Next to him was another blonde man with shorter hair wearing similar clothes. In the middle of them all stood a dark haired man in a long black coat in a military uniform. And next to him stood a blonde woman in a matching uniform. the last man had ling blonde hair tied at the back of his head with eyes rimmed by thin wire frames.
The man with the long, blonde, braid stood up and screamed.
"We landed in the middle of the damn desert!?" he cried desperately.
"At least we're in the right country... I think," the blonde man with shorter hair sighed.
"I think we should find North," suggested the blonde woman in the military uniform.
"Do we even know what direction the palace is?" The raven haired man in the black coat grumbled.
Xiulan searched his face and gasped. Could he really be the fire alchemist?
She hastily got closer and inched toward the group.
"Do you have a better plan of action?" the blonde woman reputed.
Xiùlán stood and called to the group.
"I can show you to the palace... If you show me your abilities."
"Our what?" The man with the blonde braid gaped.
"Brother I think she means our alchemy," the blonde with the shorter hair whispered.
"I want to see your alchemy." Xiùlán pointed at the dark haired man who jumped.
"Why?" he narrowed his already narrow eyes so you could barely see the black depths of his irises.
"I could attack and force you to show me if you don't comply." Xiùlán mirrored his expression.
"Fine then..." he grinned.
Xiùlán watched as the man took out a glove from his pocket and slipped it over his hand. The man clapped then snapped and produced a small flame.
Xiùlán gasped and covered her mouth with her hand.
"It must be you!" she gasped. "come with me, all of you!" Then she turned and started to stalk off.

Roy watched as the odd woman turned and began to walk down the sand dune in the opposite direction.
Ed quickly called to her and scrambled up the dune after her.
"Hey wait! Are you going to take us back to Ling!?" he cried.
The other Amestrians quickly followed in suit. Riza looked at her husband in question. Was it only her imagination or did the Xingese woman and her husband resemble each other?
"Sorry travelers I must test you one last time." The Xingese woman sighed.
She tore off a silk shaw that had covered her arms and head. she revealed long black hair and a tattoo that wound up her right arm.
