Emperor Ling Yoa paced the training room trying to sort out his thoughts. a noise sounded in the background. silence followed.
"Hello?" he called, no answer.
A blur came rushing into the room and tackled the emperor. the invader was covered head to toe in a black armor it seemed.
the emperor struggled under the invader's hold. in the hallway gaurds were calling,"Contact the emperor's royal guard!"
"How've you been kid," the invader grinned taking off his aromor showing sharp animal like teeth a bird nose and spikey black hair.
Realization covered Ling's face, "Greed is that you?" he gasped.
"Ya I guess I don't look like a giant red face to you anymore, do I?" he grinned.
"How are you here?" Ling asked in amazement.
"I'm hard to kill!" he grinned showing razor sharp teeth like a shark's.
"But Greed you were dead! I saw you die!" Ling gasped.
"Now you see that's the tricky part," Greed gave a devious grin and began telling Ling the story.
"Are you serious? how could that even happen!" Ling protested.
"You're askin' me kid? I'm just along for the ride." Greed chuckled.
"So this creature is in Xing, but I don't sense its Chi." Ling inquiered.
"We're not sure exactly where, in Xing, it is." Greed explained finally taking a seat on the training floor. "Oh and I forgot to tell you-," Greed started but was interrupted by Yoa clan warriors filing into the training room wielding kunia knives.
"Emperor!" they cried.
"Hey, you guys here for a remach?" Greed grinned getting to his feet; his ultimate shield slowly climbing up his neck.
"Greed! Are you an idiot?" a voice sighed.
"Lust! Its always a pleasure," Greed smirked opening his arms.
Lust rolled her eyes and stood by the door way letting the others pass.
"Ling!" Ed called running over to the Emperor.
"How dare you call the Emperor by his name! State your name and business!" one of the warriors cried.
"Calm down, this was simply a misunderstanding. These are the travelers from Amestris." Lan Fan explained coming through the door way followed by May and Shou May.
"Ed! Al!" Ling Called as Al walks in.
"Hey I'm guessing you've heard," Ed panted standing in front of Ling.
"Yes Greed told me. but there is one thing I don't understand. There was suposed to be a loved one returned to us." Ling said exchanging a look with Lan Fan.
"I don't know Ling, none of us are clear on how any of this goes. We told you all we know, I'm sorry," all of them that were concerned with the promise day knew who Ling and Lan Fan were waiting for.
"Maybe it's better if the old man's not here. Right Lan Fan?" Ling sighed eyeing the girl empathitically
"Yes the last thing I would want is for grandfather to get hurt." she stated simply; her mask conceiling her emotions.
The palace began to shake.
"What is this, an earthquake?" Winry cried.
