Ling had insisted that Winry stayed in the palace until they got everything sorted out. She was alone in a room with May.

May sat silently playing with her panda and Winry bounced her leg and peered out the window.

She couldn't stop wondering when Ed and Al would get back. She had just gotten the both home from researching and now their lives were on the line again.

"May?" she called over to the younger girl.

"Yeah," the girl held her panda's hands and her head turned with May's.

"I don't want to be useless anymore. Will you and Lan Fan teach me how to fight?" Winry asked sheepishly.

"I don't know about that whole useless thing but of course we'll teach you, come on," the girl smiled grabbing Winry's hand and dragging her to the training room.

"Lan Fan help me teach Winry how to get out of common holds." she smiled.

Lan Fan had been standing in the corner sharpening her Kunia. She looked up and jogged over.

"Of course," she nodded.

"If someone holds knife to your throat. Wait till he's distracted the jam your elbow into his ribs and take his arm and push it away from your throat," May said demonstrating it with the help of Lan Fan.

"Uh, yeah I guess I could so that," Winry stammered.

"Here, you try it," May said pushing Winry at Lan Fan. Lan Fan grabbed Winry and held a Kunia at her throat.

Winry wiggled her right arm free and rammed it into Lan Fan's stomach (which was covered with padding) and moved the knife away from her throat.

"Very good!" May cheered.

Lust sat in her crisp kimono, given to her by the palace maids, and stared out the window. Her raven hair was still wet from a bath as she was examined her legs.

"Still not healed?" Envy asked sitting down in one of the plush chairs in the room.

"No it hasn't. It's disgusting! We're living like humans," she gasped at the thought.

"Cause' it totally wasn't humans that killed you at all." Greed sighed dramatically strolling in, in his usual leather attire.

"Don't flatter yourself you got beaten up by a fifteen year old kid," Lust scoffed.

"Oh no, he scratched me. I beat the crap out of him then was beat up by Wrath. Father killed me both times. Get your facts straight dear sister," agreed smirked.

"Oh shut up Greed you were never put up against the flame alchemist," Envy groaned.

"Yeah cause' I didn't piss him off," Greed chuckled. "It's your guys's fault for one killing his best friend, and two trying to kill him and his now wife," he said pointing to the one responsible.

"We were carrying out orders. You were the one who betrayed us," Lust growled.

"Sweetheart, I side with no one. I'm here to look out for me." he grinned receiving an eye roll from Lust.

"So you wouldn't care if all of the humans here died?" Lust asked skeptically.

"I didn't say I didn't care about the humans. I said I sided with the ones I knew would put me on top. I saw loss on your side." Greed smirked.

"Well we all ended up dead didn't we," Lust sighed.

"Yeah but my death was a lot more gratifying." Greed beamed.
