Chapter 4. The Castle

The next morning, Karsyn woke up in tears because of what happened in his dream. He wiped them looked at his side and saw Euphoria fast asleep, drooling on him. He couldn't move since he didn't want to wake him and Clairé up. Instead, he picked up the book and whispered as quietly as possible, "Wanderer...whoever you are...if you can hear me, what are my next steps?"
Slowly, the book sparkled open and it glowed a very vibrant shade of purple. Wanderer spoke, "Good morning, Karsyn! Your next step is to go back to the castle."
"What castle...?"
"Romero's castle."
"Are you crazy?! I can't go back."
"If I said you should go back, then I mean it, Karsyn. And anyways, you want to be the next king...right...?"
"Yes...fine, I will...but other than that, what are my next steps?"
"Go to the castle."
"I can't just 'go to the castle', Wanderer, I need more information. Other than that!"
The book slammed shut and Karsyn sighed, "I guess it is what it is then..."
He jumped when he felt a hand on his chest, it was Euphoria.
"Euphoria...are you up...?"
There was no response. Instead, he saw Euphoria smirking and laughing quietly with his eyes closed, pretending to be asleep.
"I know you're awake."
"Oh really, how do you know that?"
"Because you were laughing, who would be that insane to actually laugh in their own sleep?!"
"Fine. You caught me there, but really, why are you awake?"
"I just woke up-"
"No excuses, you were awake before that. I heard your voice in my sleep."
"Really?"
"What was the voice saying-?"
"GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!"
It was Jolene. In her hands, was a plate of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. The others were half-asleep, so they didn't respond. 
"Good morning Jolene..." Euphoria groaned.
"Good morning Euphoria! Did you have a good sleep?"
"Yeah, I was sleeping by Karsyn all night."
Behind Jolene, was Idyllic.
"OH MY GOSH! YOU SLEPT WITH KARSYN?!"
"NO, WHO TOLD YOU THAT-"
"YOU DID!"
"I DON'T LIKE HIM-"
"YOU DOOOO!!!!"
Karsyn just blinked in awe, "Uh...you know I'm awake-"
"Oh, sorry!" Idyllic apologised while giving a death stare at Euphoria.
Euphoria gave a death stare back and mouthed:
"You're dead."
Idyllic rolled her eyes and grinned at Jolene. Jolene carried on with what she was saying, "Shhh, you two! Well, anyways Karsyn, are you okay?"
"Uh...yes I'm fine...thanks for asking-"
Idyllic interrupted, "Wanna know why she's asking you that?"
"Uh, sure."
"She's asking you that because she thinks YOU AND EUPHORIA WERE ACTUALLY SLEEPING TOGETHER! LIKE....AS A COUPLEEEE!!!"
"WHAT?!" Euphoria and Karsyn yelled.
"Shhh...Karsyn, don't listen to Idyllic. I was just genuinely asking you that."
"I don't like Karsyn, and he doesn't like me either. We're only friends. Get it in your GODDAMN PEA SIZED BRAIN IDYLLIC!"
"Yeah...sure, only friends...sure..."
Euphoria whined, "JOLENEE!!! JUST GET HER OUT OF THE ROOM PLEASE!!!!"
"Alright, alright...! But the main reason why I came here is just to ask you guys and the rest if you wanted my fresh baked cinnamon rolls with fruit and orange juice for breakfast!"
"Yeah, sure."
"Alright, see you in a couple of minutes."
Jolene shut the door and as soon as she did, Euphoria and Karsyn moved away from each other. Strangely, Euphoria turned around to look at the sun that shone behind the curtains. He mumbled to himself: 
"Only...friends...huh...?" 
But luckily, Karsyn didn't hear. Instead, he was more interested in not waking Clairé up. As Euphoria was turned around, a whine left Karsyn's lips:
"I'm starvinggg...but I can't move or else, I'll wake Clairé up."
"Who cares about her? Just move, she's fast asleep."
"Are you sure-"
Euphoria stood up and grabbed Karsyn's hand, lifting him off of the floor.
"See. She's not going to wake up, so stop being so scared." 
"Oh...should we go and eat without them?"
"Yeah, they'll have plenty of food."
"Then after that, I'll have a shower, but wait...I don't have any clothes."
"That's fine, I'll ask Lorenzo if he has any spare clothes for you."
"Thanks. Now let's hurry, I'm starving!"
They rushed out of the room and ran to the dining room. Jolene had the tray, filled with cinnamon rolls dusted with powdered sugar.
"Careful you two! The others are sleeping remember?!"
"We know!" they both responded.
Karsyn sat on the table, whilst Euphoria sat on a chair in front of him. Euphoria watched him eat with his messy hair and tired eyes.
"Hey, you must be tired...how about after your shower you take a quick nap?"
"No, I'm fine."
"Okay then, we're going to be out all day...so suit yourself."
Karsyn heard a yawn in the distance, it was Clairé and Adora. He quickly hopped off of the table and put his arm over Euphoria.
"Sooo-"
"Good morning guys!"
"Good morning Clairé!"
"You guys ready for-"
"FOR THE BALL!" Idyllic screamed.
"Oh my god." Euphoria said, facepalming
"That's not until tonight, right...?"
"Yeah."
"Alright, that's good."
The others came out of the room, tired. They sat down and ate, Karsyn and Euphoria finished early and went to Lorenzo.
"LORENZOOO!!!!" Euphoria shouted through the door.
"What is it Euphoria?!"
"Can I have some spare clothes?"
"Sure, what size...?!"
Euphoria and Karsyn just looked at each other awkwardly, they chuckled then Euphoria shouted, "ANY SIZE! BIG, SMALL WHATEVER!!!"
"FINE! ALL I HAVE IS THIS BIG SHIRT AND JEANS!! I HOPE THAT'S OKAY!!"
"Yeah that's fine."
Lorenzo opened the door and threw the clothes on the floor.
"Now don't disturb me! I'm trying to get these clothes finished for the ball!"
"Fine, see you in a bit, clutz."
"OH YOU WAIT TILL I GET OUT OF THAT ROOM-!"
Euphoria grabbed onto Karsyn's hand and ran straight to the bathroom. Once they got there, Euphoria pushed him inside with the clothes and headed back to the rest.
