*a few months later*

I convinced my mom and she is adopting Jesse! He has been staying with us for a while now so she said we might as well adopt him..and since Neil got put in jail for trying to hook up with and underage woman we won't have to worry about him..but things haven't been too good..el and I got into an argument..it was stupid though but we haven't talked in like 2 weeks..it was because she thinks I only spend time with Jesse now..I guess it's true but I pity him..he has so much trama so he got attached to me..I dont know how to talk to her either...wait maybe I can go to someone..
"Hey J!"
"Hey max!"
"Wanna go to the mall??"
"Really?.I mean yea cool!"
"Ok get ready" I chuckled as I closed the door hearing him rummaging around in drawer looking for clothes.
"Ready!" He came out in a plain white t-shirt and black overalls with one strap loose.
"Ok cmon!" I taught him how to skateboard so we go on rides sometimes..once we went to the mall we put the skateboards on a chain and went to scoops ahoy.
"Yo Steve!"
"Heyy max and Jess!"
"Steve! Steve! Guess what!"
"What's up little dude?"
"Max taught me how to play street fighter!"
"Woah we should totally play sometime!" The boys were talking about games while I went in the back to find robin..she was listening to music.
"Hey rob!"
"Maxxx..what's up"
"I need help"
"with what my dude?"
"So el haven't talked to me in 2 weeks because she thinks I spend more time with Jesse then with her..and I don't know what to do.."
"That sounds rough..but since im a matchmaker..I know what to do..just go to her maybe buy her flowers and apologize for what you did and then give her time"
"that's it?"
"Yup..here I even got some free flowers for ya"
"Oh cool! Thanks rob"
"No problem" me and Jesse shopped around for a while then skated to the Byers house..when we first got Jesse he had a 'crush' on wills but it was just because he looked up to him since he was the only other boy he has seen I knocked on the door and will answered.
"Hey maxie hey jessay!"
"Hi will!"
"Is el here?"
"Yea she is in her room..yo Jesse wanna see how my drawing came out?"
"Yea!" Jesse and will went running to his room while I went to els I knocked quietly.
"who is it?" I tried re-enacting wills voice.

"are you sick?"
"no?"
"Your voice sounds higher than usual..come in"
I entered the room to find el in her pjs drawing something.
"Suprise!"
"Max?"
"Heyy"
"i..i look weird right now"
"No you look fine..oh right!.here are these" I handed her the flowers.
"What for..?"
"I just want to say that I'm sorry for not spending time with you..it's just Jesse has no one except for me.."
"It's ok! I understand..I overreacted.."
"Well we are cool now..right?"
"Yea..cool!"
"Great"
she planted a kiss on my cheek.
